What tools are needed to disassemble Redmi
Without the right tools, it's almost impossible to disassemble the Redmi -- you'll either damage the body or you won't be able to get to the internal components.

Step 1: Removing the back cover
On the modern Redmi (starting with the Note 10), the back cover is glued to remove it:
- Heat the edges of the body with a hair dryer (temperature not higher than 80 Β° C) for 2-3 minutes. Keep the hair dryer at a distance of 5-7 cm, constantly moving it.
- Place the suction cup at the bottom of the phone (near the USB-C connector) and gently pull up.
- Insert a plastic mediator into the gap, and slowly move it around the perimeter, separating the glue, and be especially careful at the corners, because there are often latches.
For models with a removable cover (for example, Redmi 9A or Redmi 8), it is enough to tweak the panel with a mediator on the side of the slot for SIM- cards and pull up.
Step 2: Spinning the screws
After removing the cover, you will see:

Step 4: Removing the motherboard
After the battery is turned off:

How to replace the screen on Redmi: a separate guide
Replacing the display is one of the most difficult procedures. In Redmi, the screen is glued around the perimeter, and underneath it are the plumes of the touchscreen and the display module.
- Heat the screen with a hair dryer (90Β°C) for 3-5 minutes. Start at the bottom of the plume connector.
- With a suction cup, gently raise the screen (no more than 2 mm!) insert plastic mediators into the slot and slowly lead them around the edges.
- Once the screen is detached, don't lift it completely -- it's still connected by plumes -- unscrew the metal frame that holds the plumes, and disconnect them.
- Install a new screen by first clearing the frame of the old glue. Use a new double-sided tape (e.g. 3M 9448A).
- When assembly, heat the glue with a hair dryer and tightly press the screen for 1-2 minutes.
In the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and K60 models, the screen can be glued to the frame, which makes it difficult to replace, in which case it is better to use a special machine to separate the glass (there is in service centers).

Build Redmi after disassembly: what to look for
It's often harder to assemble a phone than to disassemble it.
- Check all seals - if they break or lose elasticity, replace them. IP53 moisture protection depends on their integrity.
- Apply the new glue to the back cover or screen. Redmi will do the B-7000 or the original Xiaomi glue.
- Tighten the screws cross-to-cross to avoid skewed board. Do not make excessive efforts - the thread in the plastic case easily breaks.
- Check all components before final assembly: Cameras (main + front), speakers and microphones, volume and power buttons, SIM- cards and network (call another phone), NFC and contactless payments (if any).
