How to find out the model of the Xiaomi smartphone: all the ways from the box to the engineering menu

Have you bought a Xiaomi smartphone from your hands, lost a box, or simply forgotten its exact model? Without this information, you can’t download the right firmware, order a case or accessories, and sometimes even contact a service center. In this article, we’ve collected all the possible ways to determine the brand of the device, including hidden menus, commands for PCs and even visual differences of popular series.

Xiaomi smartphones are often named in multiple parts: a series (Redmi, POCO, Mi), a model number (Note 11 Pro) and a region-specific code (5G, Global, China). For example, the full name may sound like Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (Global, 6/128GB).

Important: some methods require a computer connection or special knowledge. If you are a beginner, start with the simplest ways (box, settings, sticker under the lid) and then move on to the complex (ADB, engineering menu).

1. The easiest way: look at the box or case

If you have the original packaging from the smartphone, the task is simplified at times. On the boxes Xiaomi model is listed in at least 3 places:
