Step-by-step: how to disassemble the Redmi 9C and remove the old screen

Step 1: Removing the back cover
1. Heat the hair dryer edge of the back cover (30-40 seconds), starting at the bottom end.
2. Insert a plastic blade into the gap between the lid and the case at the USB-C connector.

If the glue is too sticky, drop the isopropyl alcohol into the gap between the screen and the frame - this will weaken the grip.

Before installing the new module, be sure to clean the body frame of the residue of old glue. Use alcohol and a lilaless napkin. Don't rub too hard - you can damage the antenna lines around the perimeter.

Collect your smartphone in reverse order:
- Connect the display plume and fix it with a metal plate (screws twist cross-cross!).
- Connect the battery and make sure the connector is tight.
- Set the back cover, starting at the top edge. Clips should click.

Frequent Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
Even experienced wizards sometimes make mistakes when replacing the display, and here are the most common problems and solutions.
- 🔌 The screen doesn't turn on after assembly -- check if the plume sits tightly in the connector -- often because of contamination of the contacts (wipe with alcohol).
- 🎨 Distorted colors or stripes -- maybe the plume or the module itself is damaged. Try reconnecting the plume or replacing the display.
