This is a problem that many Xiaomi smart TV owners know -- the manufacturer hides the physical control buttons to keep the minimalist design, but they still have, you just need to know where to look.
In this article, we’ll look at all the buttons you can use on Xiaomi TVs (including the Mi TV 4S, 5, A2, P1, Q2, and more), explain their functions, and show you how to control TV without a remote, and learn about hidden button combinations to reset, log in to the service menu, and solve typical problems. Where are the buttons on the body of the Xiaomi TV
Most Xiaomi Mi TVs have a minimalist body with no visible buttons on the front, but the manufacturer places them on the bottom or side of the device.
- 📍 On the bottom right is the most common place for the power button (models Mi). TV 4S, 4A, 4X). It is usually a small recess with a touch or mechanical key.

If your model is not specified, try to look at the TV with a flashlight - sometimes the buttons are hidden under a black matte surface and become visible only in oblique light. Also pay attention to the power indicator (usually a red or white LED): the control button is most often located next to it.

How to control a Xiaomi TV without a remote
Lost or broken the remote? No problem! Xiaomi TVs support several alternative ways of controlling:
- 📱 Mi Remote is an official solution from Xiaomi, it works over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Download it from Google Play or the App Store and follow the pairing instructions.
If neither of these methods works, you have to control the buttons on the body.
