Xiaomi's standard voice recorder offers flexible quality settings. To change them, open the app, click three dots in the corner and select Settings. Here you can choose the bitrate: low, standard or high. For lectures, standard enough, for music or interviews, you better choose high.
An important feature is the ability to record in WAV format without compression, if supported by the smartphone model. This format takes up more space, but retains a full spectrum of frequencies, which is critical for later processing of sound on the computer.
