Have you bought a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO smartphone but can't find a standard health monitoring app? Or has it suddenly disappeared after the update? This problem is familiar to many users - despite the fact that Mi Health (aka "Health") is built into MIUI firmware by default, its location is not always obvious. In some regional versions of the software, the application is hidden, renamed or replaced by Google Fit.
In this guide, we’ll look at all the ways you can find a Health app on Xiaomi, from standard menu placement to hidden methods through your system settings, and why it might not be on your device and how to get it back. The instructions are relevant for all modern models, from Xiaomi 14 Ultra to the budget Redmi Note 12 and POCO X6 Pro.
1. Standard location of the Health app in MIUI
In most cases, the Mi Health app (or “Health”) is located in one of the following locations:
- 📱 Home screen – Look for an icon with a green heart or a person’s silhouette (the name may appear as “Health” or “Mi Health»).
- 📂 Tools folder – on some devices, Xiaomi groups service applications (calculator, voice recorder, health) into a separate folder.
- 🔍 Search the system – swipe down the home screen and type in the search box “Health” or “Health».
- ⚙️ Settings menu - go to Settings → Annexes → App management and find it in the list of “Health».
If you use MIUI 14/15 on global firmware (for example, for the European or Russian market), the application may be called “Mi Health” or “Xiaomi Wear” – this depends on the version of the software. On Chinese firmware (China ROM), it is usually signing as “” (literally “Health Xiaomi”).
💡
On some models (such as the Xiaomi 13T Pro), the Health app is integrated into the Mi Fitness app – check if the functionality is duplicated.
If you don’t find the app in any of the places listed, move on to the next section – it may be hidden or disabled.
2.Why the Health app may not be on your Xiaomi
There are several reasons why the standard Mi Health app doesn’t appear on the menu:
- 🌍 Regional restrictions – on some firmware for Europe or India, the app is replaced by Google Fit (especially on Android One devices, such as Mi). A3).
- 🔄 Update MIUI — after a major update (for example, with MIUI 13 on MIUI 14) the application may “disappear” due to resetting settings.
- 🚫 Manually disabled – a user or third-party software (such as “optimizer”) could deactivate the application.
- 📦 Removed as “malicious” – some antiviruses (such as Avast or 360 Security) mistakenly block Xiaomi system utilities.
- 🛠️ Castom firmware – if you’re using an informal build (like LineageOS or Pixel Experience), the app may not be available initially.
Important: On China ROM devices, the Health app is often tied to a Mi Account and may not work without authorization.
If your device falls under one of these circumstances, read on – we’ll tell you how to get the app back.
3. How to find the hidden Health app through system settings
If the icon is not on the home screen, but the application is installed on the system, it can be activated through the settings menu.
- Open the Settings → Applications.
- Go to Application Management (or All Apps).
- In the upper right corner, press three dots (⋮) and select Show Systems.
- In the list, look for Health (or com.mi.health).
- Click on it and select Show on the home screen or Enable (if it is disabled).
If there is no app with that name on the list, try to find:
- Mi Health (com.xiaomi.health)
- Xiaomi Wear (com.xiaomi.wearable)
- Mi Fitness (com.mi.fitness)
Enable display of system applications
Find “Health” or “Health” in the list
Check status (on/off)
Add the icon to the main screen-->
If the application is not even in the system, it means that it was removed or not preinstalled on your firmware, in which case, go to the section on recovery.
4 Restore Remote Health App
If the application has been removed (manually or after reset), it can be returned in two ways:
Method 1: Installation via APK
Download the original APK-Mi Health file from a trusted source (e.g. APKCombo or APKMirror:
- com.mi.health – the main application;
- com.xiaomi.health – alternative version
- com.xiaomi.wearable – for working with smart watches.
Important: Install only versions that match your Xiaomi model and MIUI version. For example, the APK for MIUI 14 may not work on MIUI 12.
Method 2: Resetting settings to factory
If the application has been removed as a system, it can only be returned by a complete reset:
- Make a backup copy of the data (photos, contacts, messages).
- Go to Settings → About the phone → Reset settings.
- Choose Reset all settings (not to be confused with Network Reset!).
- After the reboot, the Health app should reappear.
What to do if the application does not appear after reset?
5. Mi Health Alternatives: What Apps Can Be Used Instead
If you can not return Mi Health or it is not suitable for functionality, consider the following alternatives:
| Annex | Support for Xiaomi devices | Main functions | Cons |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Fit | ✅ Full (steppers, clocks) | Monitoring activity, integration with Wear OS, synchronization with Google Account | Fewer features for Xiaomi smartwatches |
| Samsung Health | ⚠️ Partial (pedometer only) | Detailed statistics of training, health advice | Does not support Xiaomi smart watches |
| Huawei Health | ⚠️ Limited. | Good sleep analytics, compatibility with some trackers | Requires registration with Huawei ID |
| Zepp Life (formerly Amazfit) | ✅ Full (for Mi Band and Amazfit watches) | Detailed reports on sleep, stress, SpO2 | Advertising in the free version |
If you’re using a Xiaomi smartwatch or fitness bracelet (like the Mi Band 8 or Watch 2 Pro), the best alternative is Zepp Life – it’s fully compatible with Xiaomi’s ecosystem devices and offers advanced features over the standard Mi Health.
💡
For Mi Band or Xiaomi Watch owners, Zepp Life is often more stable than native Mi Health, especially on non-Chinese firmware.
6. Frequent problems with the Health app and their solutions
Even if you found and ran Mi Health, there may be some errors.
- 🔴 «App not responding" - clear the cache in Settings → Annexes → Health → Warehouse → Clear the cache.
- 🔄 «No sync with Mi Band – reconnect the bracelet via Bluetooth and update the firmware of the watch.
- 📵 «Pedometer not working" - check permissions (access to sensors and location).
- 🔒 «Mi Account is required – on Chinese firmware without a Xiaomi account, some functions are blocked.
If the application is constantly flying out:
- Update MIUI to the latest version.
- Remove the app updates (if it has been updated through Google Play).
- Reset the app settings in the Settings menu → Apps → Health → Storage → Reset.
💡
On some devices (like POCO F5), the Health app conflicts with Google Play Services. Try disabling auto-update for Mi Health in the Play Market.
7 How to transfer data from Mi Health to another application
If you decide to switch to an alternative (e.g. Google Fit or Zepp Life), it is important to keep a history of activity.
- Open Mi Health and go to profile.
- Find the Data Export or Backup section.
- Select the export format (usually.zip or.csv).
- Save the file to your device or to the cloud (like Google Drive).
- Import data to a new app (in most cases, import from.csv is supported).
Important: Not all apps support importing data from Mi Health. For example, Google Fit may not recognize the Xiaomi file format, in which case use intermediary services like Health Sync (available in the Play Market).
💡
Before exporting data, check if sync with Mi Account is enabled – this ensures that your activity history is not lost when you reset your phone.
