Where to record a conversation on Xiaomi Poco X3: where to look for files

Poco X3 smartphone owners running MIUI or HyperOS shells often face the need for quick access to saved dialogs, which may be due to business correspondence, important arrangements or simply a desire to save a memorable moment. However, standard navigation on the Android file system is not always intuitive, especially given the differences between stock Android and Xiaomi branded add-ons.

The difficulty of finding records is that depending on the firmware version and region, different software modules can be used to app calls, in some cases it is a classic MIUI Dialer, in others it is a Google Phone, which has a completely different storage logic, and understanding what software is installed on your device is the first step to successfully searching for audio files.

Automatic recording settings and its impact on storage

It's important to understand how the settings of the application itself affect where the file goes. Call recording settings (in the Phone app) often have the option of choosing a quality or format (HD) can change the compression codec and, in rare cases, the target folder if the application considers that the HD-Audio needs a different directory.
