Complicating matters further, Google’s privacy policy is becoming increasingly strict, with recording phone conversations now regulated not only by the country’s laws but also by the internal restrictions of the Android platform, manifested on Xiaomi devices by the disappearance of the record button from the standard call interface or the appearance of a loud audio notification of the start of a recording that the interlocutor hears.
