Zepp (formerly Mi Fit) has become an integral part of Xiaomiโs ecosystem for fitness bracelets and smartwatches. However, after the MIUI 14/15 update or the HyperOS transition, many users are faced with the problem of the app icon disappearing from the home screen or not fixing in the dock. In this article, we will discuss all the current ways to anchor Zepp โ from standard shell features to hidden features and workarounds.
The problem is that Zepp often refers to system applications that Xiaomi hides or restricts in default settings, and after resetting or updating the firmware, the application can be โresetโ in the Systems folder or disappear from the menu altogether. We have tested all methods on devices from Redmi Note 12 to Xiaomi 14 Ultra โ and are ready to provide working solutions.
Why is the Zepp app not being fixed to Xiaomi?
Before we get to the instructions, itโs important to understand the root of the problem, and here are the main reasons why the Zepp icon may not be fixed:
- ๐ Update MIUI/HyperOS: Newer versions of the shell often reset screen settings, especially for system applications.
- ๐ฑ Launcher Limitations: Xiaomiโs Standard Launcher blocks some system utilities (including Zepp) from being fixed to the docking panel.
- ๐ Hidden Apps: Zepp can be labeled as โhiddenโ in the security settings (Settings) โ Annexes โ Application management).
- ๐๏ธ Cache Clearing: After cleaning the application data or resetting the settings, its shortcut disappears from the menu.
- ๐ค Google Play conflict: If Zepp is installed through the Play Market and not as system software, display issues may occur.
Interesting fact: on some models (e.g. POCO F5), the Zepp app is initially missing from the menu, but it can be pulled through the Display โ Application Shortcuts settings.
โ ๏ธ Note: If you use a third-party launcher (like a Nova Launcher or Apex), standard anchoring methods may not work, in which case skip the first two partitions and move on to the method. โ4.
Method 1: Fixing through a standard Xiaomi launcher
This is the simplest method that works on most devices with MIUI 14/15 and HyperOS.
- Open the app menu (swipe up the main screen).
- Find the Zepp app (if it isnโt, see the spoiler below).
- Press the Zepp icon and drag it to the home screen or to the docking panel (the bottom panel with frequently used apps).
- If a sign is used to prevent the (โ), Try an alternative method: ๐ Click on the Zepp icon โ Choose Application Information. ๐ง Go to the Supplementary โ Display on the main screen.
On some devices (e.g. Redmi 12), after dragging the icon, a message may appear "Can't fix the system application." โ2.

Method 2: Using screen editing mode
If standard drag and drop doesn't work, try activating editing mode, a technique that is particularly effective for HyperOS devices where the logic of shortcuts has been changed.
- Click the empty space on the home screen โ select Screen Settings (or Edit).
- At the bottom of the screen, there's an app panel. Find Zepp (if you don't have one, click on the magnifier icon). ๐ And enter the name).
- Drag the icon to the home screen or to the dock. If there's an error, try it: ๐ Hold the icon. 2-3 seconds before the vibration occurs. ๐ Drag it to the top left corner of the screen (sometimes bypasses restrictions).
Save the changes by clicking the tick (โ) or the Ready button.
On HyperOS devices, fixing to the dock can be blocked for system applications, in which case, create a folder on the home screen and place Zepp there, this will bypass the restriction.
โ ๏ธ Note: On some firmware (e.g. Xiaomi.eu) after fixing, Zepp may disappear after restarting. To fix this, turn off battery optimization for launcher: Settings โ Battery โ Optimizing the battery โ Find the Launcher" โ Shut down.
Method 3: Fixing through dock panel settings
If you need to secure Zepp in the dock panel (lower quick access panel), use this method:
- Open the dock panel settings: Click the empty space on the home screen โ Dock panel settings.
- Select Change the dock panel icons (or Edit).
- In the list of available applications, find Zepp: ๐ Click on the search icon and type "Zepp". ๐ Check the System or Service folder.
Drag the icon into one of the dock panel cells (usually 5).
Save the changes.
On Xiaomi with HyperOS, the docking panel can be replaced with a quick action panel.
- Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and hold it.
- Select Change Panel.
- Add Zepp as "quick action."
Instructions for Nova Launcher:
- Install Nova Launcher from Google Play.
- Make it a default launcher (the first time you start will be offered a sentence).
- Click the empty space on the screen โ Settings โ Dock panel.
- Select Change the dock panel icons and add Zepp.
- For reliability, pin the application in memory: Settings Nova โ Lab โ Lock in memory.
๐ก
If the third-party launcher Zepp still does not appear after installing, try to clear the launcher data (Settings โ Applications โ Nova Launcher โ Storage โ Clear Data) and restart the device.
Method 5: Creating a shortcut through a widget (alternative method)
If none of the previous methods worked, you can create a shortcut for Zepp, which works even on highly limited firmware (e.g., enterprise firmware).
- Install Activity Launcher from Google Play.
- Open Activity Launcher and find it in the Zepp list (or com.xiaomi.hm.health).
- Select the main activity (usually called.MainActivity or SplashActivity).
- Click on it and hold on to it โ select Create a shortcut.
- The label will appear on the home screen, and if necessary, move it to the dock.
The advantage of this method is that the shortcut leads directly to the desired activity of the application, bypassing possible locks of the shell, but note that after the Zepp update, the shortcut may stop working - it will have to be recreated.
Solving the problem: what to do if Zepp disappears after the reboot
Many users complain that after a device reboot or firmware update, the Zepp attached disappears from the screen.
- ๐ Turn off battery optimization for Zepp and launcher: Settings โ Battery โ Optimizing the battery โ Find Zepp and Louncher" โ Shut down.
- ๐ต Prohibit cleaning of the launcher cache: Settings โ Annexes โ Launcher โ Battery โ No restrictions.
- ๐ง Reset the launcher settings: Settings โ Annexes โ Launcher โ Warehouse โ Clear Data Attention: This Will Remove All Your Screen Settings!
- ๐ ๏ธ Update your firmware: Sometimes the problem is solved after installing the last update MIUI/HyperOS.
โ ๏ธ Note: On devices with a locked bootloader (most global versions of Xiaomi), resetting the launcher settings can lead to the loss of all shortcuts.
๐ก
If Zepp disappears after a firmware update, the reason is most often a launcher reset. To avoid this, lock the application through a third-party launcher (for example, Nova) before updating or back up your screen settings.
