Registration and creation of Mi Account
The first and most important step is to have a registered Mi Account. Without this ID, you can’t log into the company’s cloud services, because it connects your device to virtual storage. You can register directly from the smartphone menu. To do this, go to Settings → Mi Account (or click on the avatar at the top of the settings menu). The system will prompt you to enter a phone number or email address. It is recommended to link the phone number, as this makes it easier to restore access through the SMS code in case you forget your password.
Once you enter the data, you will receive a confirmation code, enter it into the appropriate field, come up with a strong password and accept the terms of the user agreement, and now your account is ready to go, and you can start setting up data sync.
