Xiaomi smartphone users often face the need to access Huawei services – whether it’s AppGallery for installing apps, Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) or cloud storage. However, there is no official Huawei ID application on Google Play or Mi App Store, and trying to log in through the browser often ends in errors. In this article, we will analyze all the current ways to log in to a Huawei account from Redmi, POCO or Xiaomi devices, including bypassing regional restrictions and solving typical problems.
It’s important to understand that Huawei and Xiaomi are competing ecosystems with different security policies. While Huawei devices have system-wide integration of their Huawei ID, Xiaomi owners have to use workarounds. We tested all methods on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, POCO X5 Pro and Xiaomi 13T (MIUI 14–16) models, the results are summarized in the table below.
1. Log in via the official Huawei ID website in the browser
The most versatile way is to use the mobile version of the Huawei ID site. It works on any smartphone, but requires the correct browser setting.
Instructions:
- 🌐 Open your browser (Chrome, Mi Browser or Firefox) and click on the link above.
- 🔄 If the site opened in Chinese, click English or Russian at the bottom of the page.
- 📱 Enter an email or phone number linked to Huawei ID, then-password.
- 🔐 Confirm the entrance through SMS or email (if two-factor authentication is enabled).
⚠️ If you are not logged in, “This service is not available in your region” is yours. IP-The address is locked. The solution is to use VPN servers in Hong Kong, Singapore or Malaysia (free of charge) VPN ProtonVPN or Warp are often not working).
2. Install AppGallery through APK-file
Huawei AppGallery is the official app store, but it's not on Google Play. APK-You can download the file from trusted sources and install it manually. HMS-Applications (Huawei Health, Petal Maps, etc.).
Step-by-step:
- Download the latest version of AppGallery from appgallery.huawei.com (Download section).
- In Xiaomi settings, allow installation from unknown sources: Settings → Applications → Special Rights → Install Unknown Applications → Select a browser.
- Install. APK-File and open AppGallery.
- When you first start, the system will prompt you to log in to Huawei ID – use the same data as on the site.
⚠️ Attention: Don't download APK from third-party sites (such as APKMirror or APKPure) – they may contain modified versions with malicious code.

3.Using Huawei Mobile Services (HMS Core)
To fully work Huawei applications (such as Huawei Health or Petal Search) on Xiaomi requires installing HMS Core, a service package similar to Google Mobile Services.
How to install HMS Core:
- 📥 Download the latest version HMS Core from the official website (Downloads section).
- 🔧 Install. APK-File (requires permission to install from unknown sources).
- 🔄 Reboot your smartphone.
- 📱 Open any one. HMS-App (e.g. AppGallery) and sign in to Huawei ID.
After installation HMS Core in the settings of the smartphone will appear a new section of Huawei Settings, where you can manage permissions for HMS-service.

- 📱 "Device not supported – install HMS Core (Section 3) or try to log in via your browser in incognito mode.
- ⏳ "Too Many Attempts – Wait 30 Minutes or Change IP-address (reconnect) VPN).
If the error persists, clear your browser cache or reinstall AppGallery. In extreme cases, create a new Huawei ID with a different email.

If you have forgotten your Huawei ID password, restore it via your linked email or phone. On the recovery page, select "Other login methods" → "Forgot password" and follow the instructions.
6. Alternative methods: emulators and PCs
If you can not enter Huawei ID from a Xiaomi smartphone, you can use an Android emulator on a PC or a web version of services.
Options:
- 💻 BlueStacks emulator: Install BlueStacks on your computer. download APK AppGallery and install it in the emulator. log in to Huawei ID emulated.
Web versions of services
- Huawei Cloud – Access to files.
- Huawei Health – data from fitness bracelets.
These methods are suitable if you need to download an app once or transfer data. For constant use, it is better to configure HMS Core on a smartphone.
7.Security: How to Avoid Losing Access to Huawei ID
The Huawei ID account contains purchases, cloud backups and app licenses, so you don’t lose access to it:
- 🔑 Link backup email and phone number in account settings.
- 📝 Save the recovery codes (if two-factor authentication is enabled) in a safe place (e.g., Google Keep or on paper).
- 🔄 Regularly update your password (every 6 months).
- 🚫 Don't use Huawei ID on suspicious websites or pirated versions of apps.
⚠️ Note: If you are selling a Xiaomi smartphone that is installed HMS-Services, be sure to leave Huawei ID in the AppGallery settings or HMS Core. Otherwise, the new owner will be able to access your data.
