Why it is important to log out of your Google account on Xiaomi

Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones are closely integrated with Google services, from Gmail mail to Google Drive cloud storage, but not everyone knows that simply removing an app icon or clearing a cache does not break the connection with your account.

Method 1: Standard exit through account settings

This is the main and most secure method that works on all Xiaomi smartphones, regardless of the version of MIUI. Instructions are relevant for models Xiaomi 13/12/11, Redmi Note 12/11, POCO F5/X5 and others.

Steps:

1. Open the Settings app (cog icon).
2. Scroll down and select the Google section (or Accounts and Sync → Google on older versions of MIUI).
3. Slip on your email address (it appears at the top of the screen).
