Xiaomi TV users often face a problem: the official Kinopoisk app is not available in the Mi App Store, but the service remains one of the most popular in Russia for searching for movies, TV shows and content evaluation. Why is this happening?
In this article, we will discuss 5 proven ways to install Kinopoisk, from simple (via the app store) to advanced (manual download APK). Each method is tested on current models Xiaomi Mi TV 4S/5/5 Pro, Mi TV Q1/Q2, Redmi Smart TV (2018-2026).

Why is the movie not installed through the Mi App Store?

Method 1: Installation via Google Play (for certified models)
If your Xiaomi TV supports Google Play Services (check the Accounts section in settings) → Google, then the movie search can be officially installed:
Step 1: Open Google Play Market on your TV. If you don't have one, skip this method and move on to the next one.
Step 2. In the search box, type "Kinopoisk" and select the official application from Kinopoisk OOO. Make sure it has more than 10 million downloads and a rating of 4.5+.
Step 3. Click Install and wait until the download is complete. If the error "Device is not certified", use Method 4.

Step 1. Download APK. Use a proven source, such as:

Do not download APK from dubious sites - the risk of viruses!
Step 2. Move the file to the TV. There are three options:
- 📁 Through USB-storage device (formatted in FAT32).
- 🌐 Through Cloud Storage (download) APK Google Drive and Open to TV).

Instructions for Aptoide TV:
- Download the store’s APK from the link above and install it through the File Manager (as in Method 2).
- Open Aptoide TV, search for "Kinopoisk" (Latin).
- Select the official app and click Install.
- After installation, update the Movie Search through the Aptoide TV itself (Updates section).

Method 4: Bypassing the "Device not certified" error
If you install a message via Google Play or run a Movie Search that says "Device not certified," it means your TV has not passed the Google Mobile Services (GMS) check, and this is solved in two ways:

Solving problems after installation
Even if the Cinema Search is established, it can be difficult.
1. The annex does not open.
- 🔄 Restart the TV (Power button on the remote) → Reboot).
- 🧹 Clear the cache: Settings → Annexes → Cinema search → Clear the cache.
- 📥 Reinstall. APK (The file may have been damaged during downloading).
2. No sound or video slows down.
- 🔊 Check the sound settings: Settings → Sound. → Output format (select) PCM instead of Dolby).
- 📶 Connect your TV to the network via an Ethernet cable (Wi-Fi may not be able to handle streaming video).
- 🔧 In the Movie Search settings, turn off Hardware Acceleration (section For Developers).
3. The remote is not working.
- 🎮 Connect a Bluetooth keyboard or gamepad for navigation.
