HD Videobox is an alternative application that extends the capabilities of your device by adding support for 4K HDR, improved buffering and access to closed streaming platforms. But why is it chosen instead of the standard Kodi or MX Player?
First, the HD Videobox is optimized for Android TV — its interface is adapted to control from the Xiaomi remote, unlike many “flawed” versions of mobile applications. Second, it supports hardware video decoding on Amlogic chips (S905X, S905Y and later), which reduces the load on the processor and prevents consoles from overheating. Finally, the built-in VPN- proxy allows you to bypass regional locks without additional settings.
However, there are nuances: the app is not officially available in the Google Play Store for Xiaomi Mi TV Box, so installing requires bypassing system limitations. Pay special attention to the free space on the device. HD Videobox with cache and additional modules takes ~500 MB, so:

- Download the latest version of APK for Android TV (the file will be called something like HDVideobox-TV_vX.X.X.apk).
- Once downloaded, a warning window will open, click "Install." If installation is blocked, go back to Settings → Security and allow installation from that browser again.
If a Parse Error error appears during the installation phase, it means that:

If you have a Xiaomi Mi TV Box 3 or other models with limited memory, USB installation will be more reliable.
- 🖥️ A flash drive (FAT32) with a volume of ≥4 GB.
- 💻 Computer for download APK.
- 🔌 OTG- cable (if the console does not have a USB- port).
Instructions:
- Download APK- file HD Videobox on PC from the official website (link above).
- Copy the file to a flash drive (not to folders!) The file name should be in Latin, without spaces (e.g. hdvideobox.apk).
- Connect the flash drive to the console via the USB-port. If the port is missing, use the OTG- cable.
- Open Explorer (or File Commander) on the console, find the APK and start the installation.

What will be required:

- 📱 Included USB- debugging on the console (Settings → For developers → Debugging on USB).
Step-by-step:
- Connect the console to the PC via the USB- cable (use the USB 2.0 port on the PC for stability).
- Open the command line (Windows) or terminal (Linux/macOS) and go to the folder with ADB Tools: cd C:\platform-tools
- Check the device connection: adb devices If the console appears in the list, go ahead. If not, check the driver or cable.
