Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is a compact device for converting a regular TV to a smart one, but its default firmware often lacks a pre-installed browser. This limits the ability to browse the web, online cinemas or work with cloud services directly from the big screen. In this article, we will discuss all the current ways to install a browser on Mi Stick (including the Mi TV Stick 4K and Mi TV Stick Basic models), and solve typical problems that users face.
The main problem is that Android TV (The Mi Stick is based on a device that has limited access to Google Play, which is not available in many browsers, and the manufacturer often blocks the installation. APK-But you can get around those limitations, and we'll show you how.
Important: The instructions below are relevant for MIUI TV 2023-2026 and newer firmware. If your device is running an outdated version of the software, update it first through Settings → About Device → System Update.
1. Installation of the browser through the Google Play Store
The easiest way is to download the browser from the official app store, but not all browsers are available in the version of Google Play for Android TV.

- In the search bar, enter the browser name (for example, TV Bro).
- Select the app marked "For Android TV" and click Install.
⚠️ Note: Popular browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox in standard Google Play for Android TV They're missing. They can only be installed through APK or ADB (see the following sections).
If the browser is not located, try:

- 📱 Use the Play Market web version on your smartphone by sending a link to install via Send to your device (requires login to the same Google account).
2. Installation of the browser through APK-file
If the browser is not in Google Play, you can install it manually through the APK-- For that, file:
