For example, on the Redmi Note 12 with global MIUI 14 firmware, the voice assistant can work differently than on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra with the Chinese version of MIUI 15. We tested all the methods on current devices and collected checklists for every situation, from simple installation to solving typical errors like “Alice does not respond to voice” or “no activation button”.
1.Official method: installation via Yandex Launcher
The most reliable and recommended method is to use a proprietary launcher from Yandex, which not only adds Alice, but also optimizes search, weather widgets and other ecosystem services.
- 📱 It works on all Xiaomi smartphones with Android 8.0+ (including POCO and Black Shark).
- 🌍 Requires the region Russia in the settings of the phone (otherwise Alice may not be activated).
- 🔄 After the launcher installation, the original MI Launcher is hiding, but it can be returned in the app settings.
Installation steps:
- Download Yandex Launcher from Google Play (or APKCombo if Play Market is not available).
- Launch the application and follow the setup instructions. At the launcher selection stage, click "Use by default."
