How to delete a note from the calendar on Xiaomi Redmi: all ways

Notes and events on the Xiaomi Redmi calendar can accumulate over the years, especially if you actively use Google Calendar, Mi Calendar or third-party applications like Outlook. Over time, the list becomes cumbersome: outdated meetings, duplicates after synchronization or randomly created reminders prevent you from navigating current plans. Deleting an unnecessary note seems to be an easy task, but in practice users face nuances: where to look for the delete button, how to clean up recurring events, or what to do if the note is “hanged” and not deleted.

1. Delete the note through the standard MIUI calendar

The most obvious way to do this is to use the built-in Calendar app (a date icon on the desktop), but MIUI can be confusing: the delete buttons are sometimes hidden behind a long press or an optional menu.

2. How to remove a note from the calendar widget on your desktop

Many Xiaomi Redmi users use the calendar widget on the home screen to quickly view events. Deleting notes straight from the widget is convenient, but not always intuitive. MIUI:

• 📅 MIUI 13 and newer: make a long tap on the event in the widget → Choose Remove or Edit.
• 🔄 MIUI 12 and older: Click on the event once to open it in full screen mode, then use the menu button (three dots).

3. Delete notes through Google Calendar (web version)

If a note is synced to a Google Account, it is not always effective to delete it through the app on your phone, because the changes may not be saved due to sync conflicts.

1. Open calendar.google.com in your browser (preferably on PC, but the mobile version will also work).
2. Sign in with the same account as Xiaomi Redmi.
3. Find the event in the list and click on it. In the window that opens, click on the basket icon (Delete).
4. For recurring events, select to delete only that event or the entire series.
5. Update your calendar on your phone (pull the event list down) or wait for automatic sync.

6 What to do if the note is not deleted
