Search and activity history in Yandex services accumulates quietly, but can become a problem if you share a phone with loved ones or sell a device. On Xiaomi smartphones (including Redmi, POCO, Black Shark), cleaning up Yandexβs history is nuanced due to the features of MIUI firmware and preinstalled services. In this article, we will analyze all the current methods, from standard settings to hidden functions that are not written in the official documentation.
It is important to understand that the history in Yandex is stored in three places β the Yandex.Browser browser, the Yandex application (with search and services) and the Yandex account (synchronized data). Deleting from one source does not guarantee complete cleanup. We will show you how to delete the history in just 5 minutes without leaving traces, even if you used voice search or Yandex.Maps.
The instructions below are tested on MIUI 12-14 (including global and Chinese versions), but most methods work on older firmware as well. If you have Xiaomi.eu or custom firmware installed, some menu items may differ, we will indicate alternative paths.
1. Delete history in Yandex.Browser on Xiaomi
Yandex.Browser is pre-installed on most Xiaomi smartphones for the Russian market, and its history includes not only visited sites, but also autocomplete data, cookies, cache, to clear everything completely:
- Open Yandex.Browser and tap the icon β° (three lines) in lower right corner.
- Go to Settings β History.
- Click Clear History and select the period: For the Last Hour, For Today or For All Time.
- Activate the ticks next to the points: π Viewing history π History of search πͺ Cookies and website data ποΈ Cached images and files
Clear the data
If you are syncing with a Yandex account, the story will only be deleted from your current device. To erase data from all gadgets, go to Settings β Account β Data Management and select Clear History on all devices.

- Open the Yandex application and tap on the profile avatar in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings β Search History.
- Click Clear History and specify the period. Click All Time for complete cleanup.
- Confirm the action by entering the code from SMS (if two-factor authentication is enabled).
If you use voice search (for example, through Alice), its history is stored separately.
- In the same Settings section, select Voice Assistant β Request History.
- Press Delete Everything.
On Xiaomi smartphones with MIUI 13/14, the Yandex app can be integrated into system search to disable history saving:
