OKKO automatically renews subscriptions to movies and TV shows by debiting money from a linked card โ even if you havenโt used the platform for a long time. On Xiaomi TVs (Mi TV 4/5, Redmi Smart TV, Xiaomi TV A Pro), cancellation is complicated by PatchWallโs firmware features and integration of the service into the system menu. Unlike smartphones, where it is enough to uninstall the application, on TV you need to untie the OKKO account from the device through hidden settings or the web version of the service.
In this article, we will look at the current 2026 disablement methods, including bypassing locks on older models (2018-2022 release), where there is no direct โCancel Subscriptionโ button, and we will also look at how to check active payments through Mi Account and what to do if money continues to be debited after cancellation. All instructions are tested on MIUI TV firmware 3.0-5.0.
Why is the subscription of OKKO automatically renewed on Xiaomi TV?
Xiaomi TVs use a pre-installed OKKO app with deep integration into the system. When you first log in, the service links:
- ๐ Xiaomi Account โ to synchronize subscriptions between devices;
- ๐ณ Payment data โ card or wallet specified when paying;
- ๐บ ID devices โ even after resetting, TV can โrememberโ your subscription.
The main reasons for auto-renewal:
- Hidden settings: In the OKKO menu on Xiaomi TV there is no explicit โCancel subscriptionโ button โ it is hidden in Account Management โ Payments.
- Mi Account Link: If you logged in through a Xiaomi account, your subscription is saved even after you delete the app.
- Cache data: On some models (Mi TV 4S 55, Redmi Smart TV X50) after cancellation of the subscription is "restored" from the cache of the system.
โ ๏ธ Note: If you have deleted the OKKO app but have not cancelled your subscription through the serviceโs website, write-offs will continue to arrive. Xiaomi does not block payments at the firmware level โ this is OKKOโs responsibility.
Method 1: Cancellation via OKKO menu on TV
This method works on most Xiaomi models (2020-2026) where the OKKO app is preinstalled. MIUI TV 4.0 and newer:
- Open the OKKO app on the main screen of the TV.
- In the upper right corner, click on the profile avatar (or the gear icon).
- Select Account Management โ My subscriptions.
- Find an active subscription (such as Premium or Family) and click on it.
- Scroll down to the "Cancel Subscription" button (may be called "Subscription Management" on older versions).
- Confirm cancellation in the pop-up window.
โ๏ธ Verification of successful cancellation
๐ If the "Cancel Subscription" button is not:
- ๐ฑ Try to log in to OKKO through a mobile application โ there is a wider subscription management interface.
- ๐ Open Occupy TV in your TV browser (if supported).
- ๐ Update the OKKO app through Settings โ Annexes โ Updates.
What to do if the TV says "Server Error"
Method 2: Cancellation via OKKO website (if the TV menu is not working)
If you canโt cancel your subscription on your TV (for example, on 2018 Mi TV 4A models), use the web version of the service, which is universal and works even if you have removed the app from your TV:
- Go to okko.tv/account from your computer or smartphone.
- Sign in with the same account as you do on your TV (via Mi Account, Google or Apple ID).
- In the My Subscriptions section, find an active service.
- Click "Subscription Management" โ "Cancel".
- Select the reason for the cancellation (for example, "Do not use the service") and confirm.
โ ๏ธ Warning: After cancellation on the site, be sure to remove the OKKO app from the TV via Settings โ Annexes โ Otherwise, the service may offer to restore the subscription at the next launch.
| Action. | What to do if it doesn't work out |
|---|---|
| I can't log into the account. | Restore your password through the Restore Form or log in via Mi Account. |
| The "Cancel" button is inactive. | Check if your subscription has expired (it could have been cancelled automatically) and if not, contact OKKO. |
| Website asks for confirmation of payment | This is a cache error: clear cookies in the browser or try another (Chrome, Firefox). |
| Subscription cancelled, but money is written off | Please write in support of the bank with a request to return the funds under Article 11.1 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights". |
Method 3: Uncoupling OKKO from Mi Account (to completely delete)
If you have signed in to OKKO through your Xiaomi account, your subscription can be saved even after you cancel the site, to completely break the connection:
- Open on TV Settings โ Accounts and Security โ Mi Account.
- Select Linked Services Management (or Authorized Applications).
- Find the OKKO list and click "Disable".
- Confirm the action with a password from Mi Account.
๐ง For models without this section (e.g. Redmi Smart) TV X43 2021.):
- Go to Settings โ Applications โ OKKO โ Memory.
- Click on "Clear Data" and "Clear Cache".
- Remove the app and restart the TV.
๐ก
If after the detachment OKKO again appears in the list of related services, reset the advertising ID of the TV: Settings โ About TV โ Reset advertising ID. This will help to avoid re-binding.
Method 4: Reset the TV to factory settings (extreme case)
If the OKKO subscription continues to be active after all the manipulations, and the money is written off, perform a hard reset. This will delete all data, including associated accounts. Pre-save network and application settings (for example, by taking a screen picture).
Instructions for Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro and similar models:
- Go to Settings โ About TV โ Reset and Update.
- Select "Reset to factory settings."
- Enter. PIN-code (default 0000 or 1234).
- Confirm the reset. The TV will reboot.
โ ๏ธ Attention: After discharge:
- ๐ When connecting to Wi-Fi for the first time, do not log in to Mi Account until you delete OKKO.
- ๐ฆ Remove the OKKO application through Settings โ Applications before logging into the account.
- ๐ฐ Check the write-offs in the personal account of the bank - sometimes payments are delayed by 1-3 days.
๐ก
Resetting to factory settings is the only way to completely remove OKKO data from Xiaomi TVs 2018-2019 (for example, Mi TV 4A 32) where there is no detachment function.
Method 5: Blocking payments through the bank
If you cannot cancel your subscription (for example, due to an error in the OKKO server), block the bank-level write-offs:
- Open the mobile application of your bank (Sberbank, Tinkoff, VTB, etc.).
- Go to the "Car Payments" or "Regular Payments" section.
- Find payments to OOO OKKO or OKKO.
- Cancel autopayment or add merchant-blocking by the name of the service.
๐ For Sberbank cards:
- ๐ฑ Annex: Payments โ Car payments โ OKKO โ Shut down.
- ๐ป On the website: Personal account โ My auto payments. โ Management.
๐ก Alternative: You can get a new virtual card from the same bank and transfer the capital to it. You can leave the old card with zero balance, and the write-offs will fail due to lack of money.
What to do if the money continues to be written off
If after the cancellation of the subscription payments still pass, act on the algorithm:
- Check your payment history with OKKO (okko.tv/payments). You may have multiple subscriptions (e.g., different devices).
- Write in support of OKCO: ๐ง E-mail: support@okko.tv ๐ฌ Chat: Telegram (@okkosupport) or VKontakte (vk.com/okko_tv). Attach payment screenshots and confirmation of cancellation of subscription.
- Challenge the payment at the bank: ๐ Article 11.1 of the Consumer Protection Act (failure to provide services). ๐ The term of the challenge โ up to 180 days from the date of write-off.
๐ Sample application to the bank:
I ask you to return the funds on payment from [date] in the amount of [XXX] rubles, written off in favor of OOO OKKO (TIN 7714822930).
The service was not provided - the subscription was canceled [date of cancellation], I enclose confirmation.
Please return the details: [card number ].๐ก
If the bank refuses to return the money, submit a claim to Rospotrebnadzor through the website zpp.rospotrebnadzor.ru. In 80% of cases, this speeds up the return.
