Have you forgotten where reminders are saved on your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO? Or can you find a to-do list that was created in a standard app? This problem is familiar to many users of smartphones and smart watches of the brand - especially after updating the firmware or changing the shell from MIUI to HyperOS. The fact that the manufacturer regularly moves the settings menu, and in some models (for example, Xiaomi 14 or Redmi Note 13 Pro+) reminders are duplicated in several services at once: Notes, Calendar and Google Keep.
In this article, weโll look at all the possible places where your reminders can be stored, from embedded apps to Mi Account cloud services. Separately, weโll focus on the features of smartwatches (Mi Band, Xiaomi Watch) and tablets (Xiaomi Pad), where the logic of working with notifications is different. And if you didnโt find the right item on the menu, at the end of the article there is an FAQ with solutions to problems (for example, why reminders donโt sync or disappear after a reset).
1. Standard Notes app โ the main storage
In 90% of cases, all text reminders and to-do lists are saved in the Notes app (yellow notebook icon), which is pre-installed on all Xiaomi smartphones running MIUI 12-15 and HyperOS.
- Scroll the main screen to the left to the list of all applications.
- Find the Notes icon (or Notes on English firmware).
- Open the app and go to the Reminders tab (bell icon in the bottom menu).
This shows all active reminders sorted by date. If you can't see the item you want, check:
- ๐ Archive - it's possible the note was moved there manually.
- ๐ Search โ enter the keyword in the line at the top.
- โ๏ธ Cloud โ if synchronization is disabled, data may not be displayed.
๐ก
If you delete a reminder note, check the Recycle Bin in the Notes app โ there files are stored for up to 30 days.
In HyperOS (starting with Xiaomi 14 and Redmi Note 13), the interface has changed a little: the Reminder tab is now called Notifications, and to create a new event, click on the plus in the lower right corner and select Reminder (not to be confused with the usual note!).
Xiaomi Calendar: Events and Repeated Notifications
If you have created reminders through the Calendar (such as birthdays, appointments or weekly tasks), you should look for them there. The app syncs with Mi Account and Google Calendar, so the data can be duplicated.
How to open it:
- Launch the Calendar app (Date Icon).
- Move to the right day โ active events are marked by a point.
- Click on the event to edit or delete the reminder.
Features of the work:
- ๐ Set up notifications: go to Settings โ Notifications and choose how many minutes/hours you will be reminded of the event.
- ๐ Repeated tasks: when creating an event, you can choose the frequency (daily, weekly, etc.).
- ๐ Sync: If you use a Google Account, check if sync is enabled in Settings โ Accounts.
Important: HyperOS Calendar was renamed Mi Calendar, but the functionality remained the same. If you have lost events after the update, try restarting your phone or updating the app through Google Play.
3.Google Keep and other third-party apps
Many Xiaomi users are installing alternative services for note-taking, such as:
- ๐ Google Keep โ syncs with Google account, supports voice reminders.
- ๐ Microsoft To Do โ Easy to Integrate with Outlook.
- ๐ฑ ColorNote โ a popular application with a widget on the main screen.
To check if your reminders are stored there:
- Open Google Play and enter the name of the app in the search.
- If it is installed, run and check the Reminder or Archive sections.
- Google Keep can use voice search to say, โOK Google, show me my reminders.โ
If you donโt remember which app you used, check:
- ๐ Search by phone: Swipe down the home screen and type in a keyword (like โbuy milkยป).
- ๐ฑ Widgets: Press and hold your finger on the main screen โ Widgets โ Find the note widgets.

4.Smart watches and fitness bracelets: Mi Band, Xiaomi Watch
Reminders on Xiaomi wearables (Mi Band 7/8, Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, etc.) are customized through the Mi Fitness app (formerly Zepp Life).
- Local reminders are created directly on the clock (for example, an alarm clock or a reminder to drink water).
- Synchronized โ come from the phone (events from the Calendar or Notes).
How to manage reminders on your watch:
| Action. | Mi Band 7/8 | Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Viewing active reminders | Scroll down the screen. โ Notifications | Press the crown. โ Reminders |
| Creation of a new | Through Mi Fitness โ Device โ Reminders โ | On the clock: Appendices โ Reminders โ Create |
| Synchronization with the phone | Automatically (if included in Mi Fitness) | Manual: Settings โ Synchronization |
If reminders donโt come to the clock, check:
- โ๏ธ Synchronization enabled in Mi Fitness (Profile) โ Settings โ Notifications).
- โ๏ธ Is the watch connected to the phone via Bluetooth.
- โ๏ธ Notifications for the Mi Fitness app are disabled in your phone settings.
โ๏ธ Checking the synchronization of the Mi Band with the phone
5. Cloud services: Mi Cloud and Google Drive
All reminders from standard Xiaomi apps are automatically backed up in Mi Cloud (if sync is enabled) to restore them on a new device or after a reset:
- Go to Settings. โ Mi Account.
- Select Mi Cloud โ Synchronization.
- Make sure the switches next to Notes and Calendar are active.
- If the data is not tightened, click Update or log out / log in to the account again.
For Google Drive:
- ๐ Open drive.google.com on your computer.
- ๐ Type:note (for notes) or type:calendar (for events).
- โ๏ธ If no files are found, check if a backup is included in Google Settings. โ Backup.
๐ก
Synchronization with Mi Cloud only works when connected to Wi-Fi. If you are roaming, the data may not be updated.
Important: If you reset your phone to factory settings, restore the data from the backup in the first 3 days โ then some of the notes can be deleted from Mi Cloud servers automatically.
6. Where else can the reminders hide?
If you havenโt found the right reminder, check out these places:
- ๐ฑ Quick Notes Widget: Press and Hold Your Finger on the Home Screen โ Widgets โ Find the widget Notes.
- ๐ Notification Center: Swipe down from the top edge of the screen โ Deploy all notifications (may be hidden under the Show Everything button).
- ๐ง Email: Some apps (like Outlook) send reminders to email.
- ๐ต Voice Assistant: If youโve used Google Assistant or Aico (in HyperOS), check your team history.
You should also remember if you have created a reminder.
- ๐ Applications of banks (for example, a reminder of the payment of a loan in SberBank Online).
- ๐ฎ Game launchers (in Game Turbo you can put notifications about the start of streaming).
- ๐ Maps (reminders about parking in Google Maps or Yandex.Navigator).
Note: If you use dual applications (Dual Account in MIUI), check the reminders in both instances of Notes or Calendar.
7 What should I do if the reminders are gone?
If you havenโt found the right notes or events, try these steps:
- Check the Recycle Bin: In Notes: Open the menu (three dots) โ Recycle Bin. In Calendar: Events are deleted irrevocably, but can be restored via Mi Cloud (if sync was enabled).
- Restore from backup: For Mi Cloud: Settings โ Mi Account โ Mi Cloud โ Restore. For Google: Settings โ Google โ Backup โ Restore.
- Check other devices: If you signed in to the same Mi Account on another smartphone or tablet, reminders might have stayed there.
If nothing worked, it's possible that the data was deleted permanently.
- ๐ Try to find old screenshots of notes in the Gallery (Screenshots folder).
- ๐ง Check the notification history in Google Account (Activity section).
- ๐ฑ Contact Xiaomi Support via Settings โ Review (if the problem is related to synchronization of the Mi Cloud).
