Do you suddenly find a debit, but don't remember what you signed up for? Or do you want to check all active subscriptions to Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO to cancel unnecessary ones? The problem is that Android subscriptions can be hidden in several places at once: in Google Play, in the MIUI branded shell, in banking applications, or even in the settings of specific services (for example, YouTube Premium or Tinder Gold).
In this article, we will not only list all the possible ways to find subscriptions, but also show you how to track hidden payments that can be charged monthly without your knowledge. This is especially true for Xiaomi users, where in addition to standard Android tools, there are additional menus in MIUI (for example, Settings โ Xiaomi Account โ Payments).
1. Verify subscriptions via Google Play (main method)
Most Android subscriptions are made through Google Play, a one-stop method that works on all smartphones, including Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO. To see the full list of active and past subscriptions:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Slip on the profile avatar in the upper right corner.
- Select Payments and Subscriptions โ Subscriptions.
This will show all the subscriptions that are linked to your Google account. Notice the Next Payment column, which shows the date of the next charge, and if the subscription is inactive, it will be in the Closed section.
๐ก
If there is no subscription on the Google Play list but the money is being written off, check other Google accounts that may have been added to the device.
- ๐ How to cancel: Click on the subscription โ Cancel. โ Some services (e.g. Google One) allow you to cancel with a delay until the end of the paid period.
- โ ๏ธ Note: After cancellation, access to premium features will remain until the next payment date (as indicated in the subscription description).
- ๐ Historical data: To see all the write-offs over the past year, go to Payments and Subscriptions โ History of payments.
2. Subscriptions in MIUI settings (branded menu Xiaomi)
Xiaomiโs MIUI shell has its own subscription management menu that duplicates some of the data from Google Play, but sometimes shows additional payments, such as Mi Cloud subscriptions, Mi Video VIPs, or Mi Pay payments.
To open this menu:
- Go to Settings โ Xiaomi Account (or Mi Account on older versions of MIUI).
- Select Payments and Subscriptions (on some firmware, the item may be called Subscription Management).
- Sign in if you need to.
In this section you will see:
- ๐ณ Active subscriptions (with next write-off date).
- ๐ Payment history of the last 12 months.
- ๐ Autopayments (if automatic renewal option is enabled).
What to do if the Payments and Subscriptions menu is not available?
โ ๏ธ Note: If you used Mi Pay to pay for subscriptions (like Tencent Video or iQiyi), they may not show up on Google Play.In this case, check your payment history in the banking app for keywords MI PAY or XIAOMI.
3. Verification through a banking application or SMS
Sometimes, subscriptions are not made through Google Play or MIUI, but directly through a bank card (for example, when you buy from AppGallery or on sites like Patron), in which case payment information can be found:
- ๐ฆ In Mobile Banking: Open your transaction history and filter by keywords: GOOGLE โ Payments via Google Play. MI PAY or XIAOMI โ Payments through Mi Account. APPLE โ If you have ever used an iPhone with this card. TENCENT, ALIPAY โ Chinese services.
- ๐ฑ V SMS: Look for messages from the bank with the text Subscription or Autopayment. SMS name of the service is indicated.
- ๐ In the personal account of the bank: On the website or in the application, find the section Autopayments or Regular payments.
If you find an unknown payment, copy the name of the service from SMS or bank history and search Google for it. Often this helps to identify a hidden subscription, for example, the acronym WLD can mean Wildberries Plus, and OKKO is a movie theater service.
Using Google Play| In the MIUI | Banking app | Do not track |Another way-->
| Subscription source | Where to find | Examples of services |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play | Google Play โ Profile โ Payments and Subscriptions | YouTube Premium, Google One, Tinder Gold |
| MIUI/Mi Account | Settings โ Xiaomi Account โ Payments | Mi Cloud, Mi Video VIP, Xiaomi Game Center |
| Bank card | History of transactions in mobile bank | AppGallery, Patron, OnlyFans |
| Samsung Pay | Samsung Pay app (if installed) | Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health |
| SMS-message | SMS archive from the bank | Any services with auto-renewal |
4. Hidden subscriptions in applications (for example, in social networks or streaming services)
Some apps (such as TikTok, Badoo, or Twitch) subscribe within their interface without using Google Play, which is harder to track because they can be debited directly from a card or through alternative payment systems (such as Stripe or PayPal).
To find them:
- Open the app where you suspect a subscription.
- Go to Account Settings or Premium Features.
- Look for sections like Subscription Management, Payments, or Active Services.
- ๐ต Music services: Spotify, Apple Music, Yandex Music โ check in their mobile applications.
- ๐ฎ Subscriptions: Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, NVIDIA GeForce NOW โ can be debited through a linked card.
- ๐บ Streaming services: Netflix, Okko, Amediateka โ sometimes made through the site, not through Google Play.
โ ๏ธ Note: If you delete the app you signed up for, it doesn't cancel payments. For example, removing Tinder won't stop you from writing off Tinder Gold. To cancel, you need to go to the service's website or restore the app.
5. Subscriptions through alternative stores (AppGallery, APKPure, Aptoide)
On Xiaomi smartphones, some users install apps not from Google Play, but from third-party sources such as:
- Huawei AppGallery (if you use Huawei services)
- APKPure or Aptoide (alternative APK stores)
- Samsung Galaxy Store (if there was a Samsung phone before)
In this case, subscriptions may be hidden in these stores, for example, if you have installed Huawei Mobile Services and subscribed to Huawei Music, it will not be visible on Google Play.
- Open an alternative store app (such as AppGallery).
- Go to the Account or My Orders section.
- Look for the Subscription or Auto Payments tab.
Delete the cache and store data (if the subscription section does not open)| Check all installed stores (Google Play, AppGallery, Aptoide)| View the bankโs payment history by keywords |Cancel unknown subscriptions directly from the provider-->
If the store is remote but the subscription is active, try:
- Re-install it and log in.
- Find the service in Google by name from a bank statement.
- Contact the store with the transaction number.
6 How to cancel your subscription if you canโt see it anywhere
If you find a write-off in your banking history but canโt find the subscription itself on Google Play, MIUI, or apps, follow this algorithm:
- Identify the service: Copy the payment name from an SMS or bank statement and Google it. For example, if the debit is on OKKO.COM, it's Okko.
- Check email: Many services send confirmation emails. Search the email for subscription, subscription or payment.
- Contact support: Write to support service to cancel your subscription. Attach a screenshot of the bank transaction.
- Block the card (extreme): If you canโt cancel your subscription, temporarily block the card from your mobile bank or set a limit on online payments.
Important: Some services (e.g., Chinese streaming platforms) may not have Russian support, in which case write in English or use an online translator.
๐ก
If you subscribe via Mi Pay or Chinese services, you can only cancel your subscription via your Mi Account account in your browser, and this functionality may be limited in the MIUI mobile application.
7.How to avoid accidental subscriptions in the future
To avoid unexpected write-offs, follow these rules:
- ๐ Set up two-factor authentication for your Google account and Mi Account โ this will protect you from unauthorized payments.
- ๐ฑ Turn off saving payment data in Google Play โ Settings โ Require authentication for purchases.
- ๐ณ Use virtual cards to pay for subscriptions (e.g. Tinkoff or Sberbank Online) and are easy to block if you suspect fraud.
- ๐ Check your subscriptions regularly (every 1-2 months) through Google Play and MIUI.
- ๐ง Create a separate folder in the mail for letters with confirmation of payments.
Also be careful when installing applications from unverified sources. APK-files may contain hidden subscriptions that are activated after installation. Always check application permissions before installation!
