We tested Mi Video on Redmi Note 12 Pro models+, Redmi 10C and POCO X5 Pro (2023-2026) — and they found that the app is not as primitive as it seems, not only plays video, but also integrates with the Mi Cloud, supports gestures, and in some regions even offers streaming content. It has critical flaws that Xiaomi doesn’t mention, and then it has an honest analysis of instructions, comparisons and life hacks.
What is Mi Video and Why You Need It on Xiaomi Redmi?
Mi Video (full name – Mi Video Player) is a standard video viewing app preinstalled on all Xiaomi, Redmi and other smartphones. POCO. It replaces Google Photos for video files and performs three key functions:

How to remove or disable Mi Video on Xiaomi Redmi
If you don't use Mi Video, you can delete it or at least hide it.
