A properly selected device will save you tens of hours of free time and ensure cleanliness in the house without your intervention.
Before you get to the technical details, you need to prioritize, some people want to navigate the complex layout perfectly, others want to be able to wash their floors without getting divorced, and understanding your own needs is the first step to making a successful purchase.
Type of navigation and map construction
One of the most important criteria for choosing a navigation system is how efficiently a robot moves around the apartment and can clean in the dark. Most modern Xiaomi models have a laser rangefinder (LDS) on top of the housing, which scans the room, builds an accurate map and allows the device to clean systematically, strip by strip, not chaotic.
