Xiaomi Cloud Cloud storage is not just a backup space, but a full-fledged tool for synchronizing data between Xiaomi ecosystem devices. It stores photos, contacts, notes, recordings from smart devices and even smartphone settings. However, many users face difficulties when first logging in: password is not suitable, account is not tied, two-factor authentication blocks access. In this article, we will analyze all the current ways to log in to Xiaomi Cloud, from standard authorization via phone to alternative methods from the computer.
Xiaomi Cloud is very well integrated with Mi Account, and without it, you can't access the cloud, so part of the tutorial is about solving your account problems. We'll also look at how to get around common errors (like 403 Forbidden or Network Error) that occur when you try to sign in from different devices. 1. Enter Xiaomi Cloud via Xiaomi smartphone
The easiest way to go to the cloud is to use the official Mi Cloud app on a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO smartphone. It is pre-installed on all devices with a MIUI shell. If the application is removed, it can be downloaded from Google Play or AppGallery (for models without Google services).
To enter:
- 📱 Open the Mi Cloud app (white cloud icon on a blue background).
- 🔑 Enter the email or phone number associated with the Mi Account.
- 🔐 If you have two-factor authentication enabled, confirm the login via SMS Mi Authenticator App or Application.
- 📤 Click Login and wait for data synchronization.
If the Mi Cloud app is not on the menu, check the Other Apps folder or search the system. On some models (for example, Xiaomi 13 Ultra or Redmi Note 12 Pro+), access to the cloud is duplicated in the Settings → Xiaomi Account → Mi Cloud section.

If you log in with a “Device Not Supported” error, try updating the Mi Cloud app or resetting the network settings in Settings → Connections → Mobile Network → Reset.
2. Authorization via browser on PC or Mac
You can log in to Xiaomi Cloud not only from your smartphone, but also from your computer, which is convenient if you need to download a backup or manage files from a large screen.
- Go to the official website: i.mi.com.
- Choose a region (e.g. Russia or Global) and the functionality available depends on it.
- Enter your username (email or phone) and password from Mi Account.
- Confirm the entrance through SMS-authenticator code or application if two-factor protection is enabled.
After successful authorization, you will be taken to the web version of Xiaomi Cloud, where you can:

- Download the Mi Cloud app from Google Play.

The functionality of the application on non-Xiaomi devices is limited: for example, you can not back up the system, but access to files, photos and notes remains, and may not sync with some services (for example, Mi Fit or Mi Home).

4. Solving problems when logging into Xiaomi Cloud
Even with the right data entry, cloud entry can be blocked.

- Go to Settings → Xiaomi Account → Security.
- Choose two-factor authentication.
- Confirm the current password.
- Link your phone number or install the Mi Authenticator app.
If you lost access to a phone with a tied number or an authenticator application, you can restore the login in two ways:
- 📧 By backup email (if it is specified in the account settings).
- 📄 Emergency codes (they had to be saved when set up) 2FA).

If you have not saved the emergency codes and lost access to 2FA, the only way to restore your account is to contact Xiaomi with proof of ownership (checks, IMEI devices, etc.).
Attention! After disabling 2FA, all sessions will be terminated and you will need to log in again on all devices.
6.Restore access to Mi Account and Xiaomi Cloud

7. Alternative ways to access files in Xiaomi Cloud
If standard entry methods do not work, alternative options can be tried:
