5. Use of third-party applications (if other methods have not helped)
If the standard methods did not work, you can use specialized utilities. For Redmi 4X, you can use:
- π Undeleter Recover Files & Data β scans memory for remote contacts (requires root rights for deep scanning).
- π± GT Recovery β Recovery of contacts, messages and photos without root (but with less efficiency).
- βοΈ Super Backup & Restore β Creates and restores backups of contacts in one click.
Instructions for Undeleter:
- Install the app from Google Play.
- Start scanning (select Contacts in file type).
- After completion, mark the necessary contacts and click Restore.
- Save the recovered data in.vcf format and import it through a standard application.
On Redmi 4X, root-free apps will only restore contacts that were not overwritten by the new data, and the sooner you start a recovery, the better the chances of success.
π‘
The side of the application does not guarantee 100% recovery, but it can help if the contacts were deleted recently (within 1-2 weeks).
6. What should I do if nothing helps?
If none of these methods work, there are extreme measures:
- π Contact the operator β some providers (for example, MTS or Beeline) store a history of calls for the last 3-6 months.
- π¬ Check correspondence in messengers (WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber) β there can be numbers in chats.
- π₯οΈ If the phone was connected to the Mi PC Suite, try to recover data through the computer version of the program.
If contacts are critical (e.g. work numbers) and recovery is not possible, consider contacting Xiaomi Service Center.Specialists can extract data using professional equipment (e.g. UFED), but it is expensive and not always efficient.
β οΈ Attention: On Redmi 4X s MIUI 10+ After a hard reset through Recovery Mode, it's almost impossible to restore contacts without a backup!
