iCloud is considered the gold standard for iPhone owners, as it does not require a computer connection and retains the entire structure of contacts: photos, groups, additional numbers, the main condition is the presence of an active Apple ID account and a stable Internet.
The process consists of two stages: export contacts from iCloud to universal.vcf format and their subsequent import to Xiaomi.

If the standard methods don't work, you can use third-party apps, and we tested the 3 most reliable options that work in 2026:

|---|---|---|---|
| My Contacts Backup | Export to.vcf and.xls, backup to email | Advertising, limit to 500 contacts in the free version | App Store |
| Copy My Data | Wi-Fi transfer without clouds, supports photo contacts | Requires installation on both phones, paid version for large volumes | App Store / Google Play |
| Contacts+ | Smart Duplication Combination, Cloud Backup | Complicated interface, requires registration | App Store / Google Play |

6. Checking and cleaning of contacts after transfer
Even if the transfer is successful, we recommend you to follow 3 steps to optimize:

- 📎 Link to your account: To prevent contacts from getting lost when you reset your phone, save them to your Google Account (Settings) → Contacts → Imports/Exports → Exports to Google).
If after the transfer some numbers are displayed as “Unknown”, check the storage format:
- Open a problem contact on Xiaomi.
- Click on Edit and make sure the number is saved in an international format (e.g. +79123456789, not 89123456789).
- Save the changes.
💡
After transferring contacts, set up automatic sync with Google – this will protect your data from loss when your phone breaks or resets.
If you notice that some contacts are missing, check:
- Is synchronization in Google Account disabled (Settings → Accounts → Google → Synchronization).
Are contacts hidden in the Contacts app (click on three dots → Display Contacts → select all sources).
Whether they were in the archive or spam (Google Contacts on the web version has a section “Other contacts”).
