Changing a smartphone is always an exciting process, especially when it comes to transitioning between ecosystems, such as ASUS Zenfone to the new Xiaomi Redmi. Users are often afraid of losing important contacts, correspondence history or photos taken over the years.
You don’t need to be a technologist to perform the migration of information. The Android operating system installed on both devices provides built-in tools, and manufacturers add their own utilities to simplify the task. In this article, we will discuss all the current ways of transition.
Before starting the procedure, make sure that both devices are at least 60 percent charged, which is critical because the process of transferring large amounts of data can take considerable time and consume energy, and check whether there is free space on the new gadget.
Preparing devices for data migration
Before running any program, you need to do basic training of both devices. On the old ASUS, you should make room by removing unnecessary cache and temporary files to speed up the copying process. On the new Redmi, you need to perform the initial configuration of the system to the desktop.

It is important to understand that Google Photos compresses images in high quality, unless you have an extended tariff. To transfer the originals in full resolution, it is better to use local methods or Google One.
Transferring Multimedia through Mi Drop
