Modern Xiaomi smartphones, which use MIUI shells or the new HyperOS, offer users enhanced privacy management capabilities, such as the ability to hide certain files, photos or entire directories from prying eyes, but often users are faced with a situation where access to this data needs to be restored and standard search methods are useless.

Xiaomi’s security system is designed in such a way that without knowing a password or a special algorithm of actions, it is almost impossible to find a coveted folder through the standard interface.
In this article, we will discuss in detail all the known ways to open hidden folders on brand devices. We will look at the regular system tools, work with file managers, and also touch on more complex methods that require connection to a computer. It is important to understand that if the folder was hidden through the system “Hidden album” or “Hidden folder” with a link to the Mi Account, without password or biometrics of the owner, you will not be able to access data.
Using a standard conductor to search

Using debugging allows you to connect your smartphone to your PC and, through console commands (ADBs), access directories that are usually hidden from the user, but this requires an installed driver and minimal command line knowledge.
