You recorded an important conversation or lecture on a Xiaomi voice recorder, but now you can't find a file? This problem is familiar to many smartphone users on MIUI - the proprietary shell often hides audio recordings in non-obvious places. Unlike an iPhone or "clean" Android, where files are in a standard Recordings folder, on Xiaomi the path depends on the firmware version, the phone model and even the way of recording.

1. Standard Storage: Recorder folder in internal memory

3. Cloud Storage: Mi Cloud and Google Drive
If you enabled sync, the records could automatically upload to the cloud.

- In the search, type:audio.

4. How to find records through phone search
If you donโt want to manually search for files, use the built-in MIUI search:
- Open the Files app (Blue folder icon).
- Click on the magnifying glass icon (๐) top-right.
- Enter the request: recorder - to search by folder name..m4a or.amr - to search by extension. audio - to filter all audio files.

- ๐ ๏ธ ES Explorer: Shows hidden system folders (root access required for full scanning).

5. Recovery of deleted records
If the record has been deleted, but you're able to act within the first 24 to 48 hours, the chances of recovery are high.
