Upgrading to Android 12 was one of the most anticipated events for Xiaomi smartphone owners โ the new version of the operating system brought not only visual changes to the interface Material You, but also a lot of optimizations for performance, security and energy efficiency. However, not all devices of the brand received this firmware officially, and some models remained on Android 11 or even older. In this article, we will understand which phones Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO are guaranteed to get Android 12 through MIUI 13/14, and for which owners will have to look for alternative upgrades.

For example, some POCO smartphones received Android 12 later than Redmi's, due to differences in brand strategy. We analyzed official announcements, MIUI Community data and user reports to make an up-to-date list of supported devices.
