If your model is not here, donβt be upset: at the end of this article we will tell you how to circumvent the restrictions and install custom firmware with support for Android 12.

Why are some models missing Android 12?
What to do if your model is not on the list
If your smartphone hasnβt received an official update to Android 12, you have three options:
- Install custom firmware (such as LineageOS 19 or Pixel Experience based on Android 12) This requires unlocking the bootloader and may be unwarranted.
- Use ported MIUI from other regions (e.g. firmware for India on the global model) and the risk of "brika" is minimal, but there are possible bugs.
- Update via Fastboot with the Mi Flash Tool.Suitable for power users, as it requires manual installation of drivers.
Warning: Unofficial firmware may contain errors, and also deprive you of the opportunity to receive OTA-Update.Before installation, it is mandatory:
Backup all data (photos, contacts, SMS)
Check firmware compatibility with your deviceβs codename (e.g. βsweetβ for Redmi Note 10 Pro)
Unlock the bootloader through the official Xiaomi website (can take up to 72 hours)
Charge your phone at least 60%

β οΈ Warning: Installing unofficial firmware can lead to loss IMEI, If you are not sure about your skills, it is better to wait for an official update or contact the service center.
New Android 12 features on Xiaomi: what will change after the update

- π’ Slowing down animations after updating (solved by resetting settings).
- π Increased battery consumption in the first days after installation (system indexes data).
- πΆ Mobile Internet problems on some models (e.g. Redmi Note 9 Pro).
