The timing of the updates depends on the region, the version of MIUI (global, European, Chinese) and the priority model. Flagships usually get upgraded first, and budget smartphones last.
| Category of devices | Approximate time frame | Status (May 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Flagships (Xiaomi 12/11 series, Redmi K50) | October 2022 - February 2023 | โ It's out for everyone. |
| Mid-segment (Xiaomi 11 Lite, POCO F4) | March to June 2023 | โ Most models |
| Budget (Redmi Note 11, POCO M4) | July 2023 โ January 2026 | โ ๏ธ Partially (delays) |
| Redmi A1+ and similar | February - April 2026 | โ It didn't work. |
If your model is on the list but the update hasnโt arrived yet, check out:
- Firmware region: go to Settings โ About โ MIUI version. If it says China and you use a global SIM, youโll have to wait longer.
- Beta status: Some devices (such as the Xiaomi 12T) get upgraded first in MIUI Beta and then in the stable version.
- Operator lock: firmware for smartphones sold through mobile operators (for example, MTS or Beeline) can be delayed for 1-2 months.
๐ก
To speed up the update, connect to the beta program MIUI. To do this, go to the Settings. โ The phone. โ Version. MIUI and tap 10 times on the line "Version" MIUI". After that, the option "Additional Update settings" will appear".
How to check if my Xiaomi supports Android 13?
Even if your model is on the official list, there are nuances:
- Regional restrictions: For example, Redmi Note 10 Pro received Android 13 only in India, and in Russia remained on Android 12.
- Chipset Version: Smartphones on the MediaTek Helio G88 (like the Redmi 10) wonโt get an update due to underperformance.
- Operator Policy: Devices purchased from mobile operators may have locked firmware.
To find out if your smartphone supports Android 13, follow these steps:
Go to Settings โ About the phone โ System update
Check the current version of MIUI (must be at least 13.0.XX)
Compare the model with the official list on mi.com
Make sure your region is not blacklisted (e.g. some models for China don't get global updates)-->
If your device isnโt on the list but itโs not released until 2021, thereโs a chance Xiaomi will add it later, like the POCO X3 Pro wasnโt originally planned for an update, but after user petitions, it still got Android 13 in March 2026.

What if my Xiaomi model doesnโt get Android 13?
If your smartphone doesnโt make it to the support list, there are 3 alternatives:
- Custom firmware: For example, LineageOS 20, Pixel Experience or ArrowOS based on Android 13. require unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP.
- Ported MIUI: Unofficial community builds of MIUI 14 (e.g. for the Redmi Note 10) Risky but sometimes stable.
- Update via EEA: Some models (e.g. POCO X3 NFC) get upgrades earlier in the European version of MIUI. You can change region through ADB.
โ ๏ธ Note: Installation of unofficial firmware deprives of warranty and can lead to:
- Data loss (including photos and contacts)
- Google Pay and banking applications are inoperable (due to the lack of SafetyNet).
- Camera or sensor issues (for example, the Widevine L1 for Netflix in HD won't work)
If you still decide on custom firmware, follow this checklist:
Unlock the bootloader through the Mi Unlock Tool
Install TWRP for your model (check compatibility on twrp.me)
Download firmware and GApps (if you need Google services)
Make a full backup through TWRP (including EFS and Modem)
Turn off encryption in Settings โ Security โ Encryption-->
