Why does Xiaomi not support Russian out of the box?
The main reason is regional restrictions, Xiaomi is making devices for different markets, and their firmware is optimized for specific countries.
- 🇨🇳 Chinese versions (CN) — English/Chinese only, but with maximum functionality (including: LDS-laser).
- 🇪🇺 Global versions (EU/RU) — There are some features that can be cut down (for example, maps are saved only in the cloud).
- 🌍 International versions (INT) — English + several European languages, but without Russian.
Also, even if you bought a vacuum cleaner marked RU, the language in the app may not change automatically, because the vacuum cleaner interface language and the Mi Home app language are set separately.
