If the sound is lost or the sensors are not working after the update, do a reset (Wipe Data in Recovery), which often helps in conflicts between old and new versions of MIUI.
7.How to roll back an update if the new version of MIUI is unstable
Sometimes fresh firmware brings more problems than benefits, such as bugs, battery discharge or broken functions, in which case you can return the previous version, but with reservations:
- π The recoil is only possible via Fastboot (for the purpose of OTA and Recovery is prohibited by the recoil mechanism).
- π You will need an unlocked boot loader.
- β οΈ All data will be deleted (backup required!).
Instructions for rollback:
- Download the old version of MIUI for Fastboot (for example, from the Xiaomi Firmware Updater website).
- Unpack the firmware and delete the antirollback.db file (if any) β this bypasses the rollback check.
- Swipe the device through the Mi Flash Tool in Clean All mode.
β οΈ Note: A rollback to a version older than the one installed out of the box can lead to a constant blink due to hardware limitations. For example, if your Mi Note 10 originally came with Android 10, Android 9 firmware will make it inoperable.
