Official release dates of Android 12 for Xiaomi: the chronology of updates
Xiaomi began testing Android 12 for its devices back in September 2021, when Google released the final version of the OS. However, the mass distribution of updates began only in the first quarter of 2022, after the release of the stable version of MIUI 13.
- 📅 October 2021 – the first beta versions of Android 12 for the flagships Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra in the program MIUI Pilot.
- 📅 December 2021 – exit stable MIUI 13 Android 12 based on Chinese models.
- 📅 January–March 2022 – the beginning of the spread of global firmware for flagships and middle-class devices.
