Why AirDots Pro 2S doesnβt connect the first time and how to fix it
Wireless headphones Xiaomi AirDots Pro 2S (model TWS006) They are one of the most popular budgets. TWS-It's a balance of price, sound quality and battery life, but even with a proven model, users often have problems when they first connect: the phone doesn't see the headphones, the connection is interrupted after a few seconds, or the sound is transmitted to only one headphone. The reasons lie in the wrong sequence of actions, outdated firmware of the smartphone or conflict with other Bluetooth devices.
In this article, we will discuss three official ways of connecting (standard, through the Mi Home app and for iPhone), and also reveal the unique AirDots Pro 2S reset algorithm, which works even when the indicator freezes. We will separately focus on common errors - for example, why headphones can appear on the list of devices as LE-TWS006, but do not connect. All instructions are relevant for firmware 2023-2026.
Preparing headphones for the first connection
Before syncing with AirDots Pro phone 2S You need to put it in pairing mode. It's done differently than most people. TWS-And these are the key points:
- π Case Charging: Make sure the case charge is above 30%. When the battery level is low, the indicator on the case will flash red, and the headphones will not go into search mode. Connect the case to charge for 10-15 minutes if the indicator is on orange.
- π§ Earphone Removal: Take both earbuds out of the case at the same time. If you take out only one, the second may not sync automatically.
- π Reset: If the headphones have already connected to another device, you need to reset them. To do this, press and hold the button on the case for 10 seconds until the indicator starts flashing white and red alternately.
Once removed, the headphones should automatically turn on (the headphones flash white). If that doesn't happen, return them to the case and re-extract. In rare cases, rebooting the case helps: press the button for 15 seconds until the indicator goes out, then release and repeat the procedure.

If the indicator on the case flashes blue, it means that the headphones are already paired with another device. For a new connection, be sure to reset (see paragraph above).

Instructions:
- Download and install Mi Home from the official app store.
- Sign up or sign in to your Xiaomi account (required!).
- Click Add Device (+ in the upper right corner) and select Audio category.
- In the list, find Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S and follow the on-screen hints.

- ποΈ Set up control gestures (double touch, hold).
- π Enable low latency mode (useful for gaming).
- π View usage statistics (working time, number of connections).
What if Mi Home doesnβt find the headphones?
β οΈ Attention: After updating the firmware through Mi Home, the headphones can automatically shut down. This is normal - just reconnect via the phone's Bluetooth menu. Don't remove the headphones from the case during the update!
Connection to iPhone (iOS) β features and nuances
While AirDots Pro 2S is optimized for Android, it is also compatible with iPhones (iOS 12 and higher), but there are a few key differences:
- No support. AAC-Codec: iPhone will use the SBC (It's not a headphone defect, it's an Apple limitation.
- No integration with Siri: Voice assistant through headphones will not work.
- No charge indicator: The iPhone status bar does not display the battery level of the headphones (unlike the AirPods).
Step-by-step instructions for the iPhone:
- Open Settings β Bluetooth and turn on the switch.
- Remove the headphones from the case and wait until the indicators start flashing white.
- In the list of βOther devicesβ look for Mi True Wireless Earphones 2S or LE-TWS006 and tap by name.
- Wait 10 to 15 seconds. The headphones will connect, but the status bar may show "Not connected" -- this is an iOS error. Check the sound through the player.
If the headphones are connected only one by one:
- π Turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone, then turn it on again.
- π± Reboot your iPhone (sometimes helps in conflicts with other devices).
- π§ Reset the headphones (hold the button on the case for 10 seconds).
π‘
On iPhone, the sound in AirDots Pro 2S may sound quieter than on Android due to the limitations of the SBC codec. To turn up the volume, go to Settings β Music β Equalizer and select Late Night or Rock preset.
Typical problems and their solutions
Even with the right connection, users are faced with common errors, and let's look at the most common ones and how to fix them.
Problem 1: Headphones connect, but only sound goes to one
Reasons:
- π§ One of the headphones is discharged or not synchronized with the main one.
- π± On the phone enabled the βMonoβ mode (for example, in the settings of special features).
- π Conflict with other Bluetooth devices (columns, clocks).
Decision:
- Return both headphones to the case, wait 10 seconds and retrieve.
- On Android, check the sound settings: Settings β Sound β Audio Balance (balance should be in the middle).
- Turn off other Bluetooth devices within a 5-meter radius.
Problem 2: Headphones are constantly switched off
This is most often related to:
- πΆ Bad Bluetooth signal (many obstacles, long distance).
- π A discharged battery of headphones or a case.
- π± Power saving mode on the phone (especially on Xiaomi with a MIUI).
Decision:
- π± Turn off power saving mode for Bluetooth in battery settings.
- π Reconnect the headphones (forget the device in Bluetooth settings and connect again).
- π‘ Check if other wireless devices interfere (Wi-Fi router at 2.4 GHz, microwave).
Problem 3: The phone can't see the headphones
If LE-TWS006 does not appear in the list of devices:
- π§ Reset the headphones (hold the button on the case for 10 seconds).
- π± Reboot the phone.
- π Turn Bluetooth on/off 2β3 times in a row.
- π‘ Try connecting in another room (possibly interference from other devices).
π‘
If the headphones don't connect anyway, try using them in guest mode on another phone, and if they work, there's a problem with your smartphone (maybe you need to reset your network settings).
How to reset AirDots Pro 2S to factory settings
If all the connectivity fails, the last option is a complete reset, which removes all the paired devices and returns the headphones to the factory settings, and importantly, once reset, the headphones automatically disconnect from all the devices and have to reconnect them.
Instructions:
- Put both headphones in the case and close the lid.
- Connect the case to the power source (charging).
- Press and hold the button on the case for 20 seconds (not 10 like a normal reset!) The indicator first flashes red, then goes out and lights up again white.
- Release the button. Headphones are off.
After discharge:
- π§ The headphones will be displayed as new (Mi True Wireless Earphones) 2S).
- π All user settings (gestures, equalizer) will reset.
- π± I'll have to reconnect them to the phone.
β οΈ Warning: Do not reset if the headphones are under 30% discharged. This may cause the firmware to fail and the headphones will stop turning on. Charge the case to at least 50% before the procedure.
