Honor smartwatches and Xiaomi smartphones are popular devices that are often used together, but their synchronization is not always smooth due to the differences in the ecosystems of Huawei (which includes Honor) and Xiaomi. In this article, we will analyze all the current ways of connecting, including official applications, workarounds and solving typical errors.
The main problem is that Xiaomi is blocking the installation by default. APK-Third-party files, and Honor apps (such as Huawei Health or Zepp Life) may conflict with Mi Fit's proprietary software. 1. Preparation of Xiaomi smartphone to connect
Before synchronization, you need to configure your smartphone to avoid application installation errors. Pay special attention to third-party permissions and access to geolocation – without them, Honor applications will not work correctly.
Do the following:
- 📱 Activate Developer Mode: Go to Settings → The phone. → Version. MIUI And tap the build number 7 times. Go back to Settings. → Additionally. → For developers and enable debugging by USB and Installation through USB.

Method 1: Connect via the Zepp Life app (recommended)
Zepp Life is the official app for Honor (formerly Huawei Health) smartwatches, which is best compatible with Xiaomi devices, but requires the right setup.
Installation steps:
- Download. APK-Zepp Life file from the official website (Android version).
- Install the file through a file manager (e.g. Files by Google or Mi File Manager).
- Launch the app and register with Huawei ID (required!).If you don't have an account, create it on Huawei's website.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and watch, then in the app select Add Device → Watch → Honor Watch [your model].

- 🔑 Sign up or sign in to an existing Huawei ID.
- 🔍 In the Devices section, select Add → The clock → Honor and follow the clues.
- ⚙️ After connecting, turn off battery optimization for the app in Xiaomi settings.

⚠️ Note: When using Huawei Health on Xiaomi, there may be false notifications about the battery discharge of the watch. This is due to a conflict of geolocation services. To fix, turn off the exact location for the application in the permissions settings.

Error: "I was unable to connect to the device"

- 🌍 Check your Internet connection (Honor applications require access to Huawei servers).
- 🔒 Turn it off. VPN Proxies – they can block the connection.

Limitations of the method:

- ❌ Synchronization delay up to 24 hours.

Exporting through Google Fit is the only way to transfer data from Honor to Mi Fit, but it doesn't support all metrics. For full synchronization, use only Zepp Life.
