Xiaomi fitness bracelets have become an integral part of the daily lives of millions of users, helping to track activity, sleep and remind of important events. But an alarm clock that initially seemed like a useful function can become a source of irritation β especially if it is triggered on a weekend or in the middle of the night because of a setup error. 3/4/5/6/7/8) and firmware versions.
In this article, we will look at all the current methods, from the standard shutdown through the Mi Fitness app (formerly Mi Fit) to hidden functions in the menu of the bracelet itself. Particular attention will be paid to the typical errors that keep the alarm clock running even after trying to deactivate it. For example, many users forget to sync changes with the device or do not know that on the Mi Band 6 and later there is a separate menu for βsmart alarmsβ that do not appear in the main list.
If you're in a situation where the bracelet vibrates for no apparent reason, or if the alarm goes off at the wrong time, this will help you understand the causes and eliminate them, and we'll also look at how to completely remove all stored alarms to avoid accidental alarms in the future.
1. Turn off the alarm clock through the Mi Fitness app (main method)
The most reliable and versatile method is the official Mi Fitness app (pre-22 Mi Fit), which works on all bracelet models from Mi Band 3 to the latest versions. Importantly, before you start, make sure your smartphone is connected to the wristband via Bluetooth and the app displays up-to-date device information.
Step instructions:
- Open the Mi Fitness app on your smartphone.
- Go to the Profile tab β My devices and choose your bracelet.
- Slip on the item Alarm clocks (on some versions of the application it may be called reminders β Alarm clocks).
- In the list of active alarm clocks, find the one you want to turn off and move the slider to the right (on iOS) or uncheck (on Android).
- Press Save or Sync to make changes apply on the bracelet.
β οΈ Warning: If the alarm continues to go off after shutdown, check:
- π Data synchronization -- sometimes changes don't apply because of a communication failure.
- β° "Smart Alarms on the Mi Band 6/7/8 There is a separate function of alarm clocks by sleep phases, which is adjusted in another menu.
- π± App version - older versions of Mi Fit (until 2021) have a different interface. Update the app via Google Play or App Store.
If the alarm list is empty but the wristband is still vibrating, the problem may be in inactivity reminders or targeted notifications, which are often confused with alarm clocks. To turn them off, go to Profile β Reminders and deactivate the appropriate options.
2. How to turn off the alarm on the bracelet (without a phone)
It is not always a smartphone at hand, and the alarm clock needs to be turned off urgently. Fortunately, on most Xiaomi models, this can be done directly from the bracelet screen. The method works on the Mi Band 5 and later, as well as on some firmware for the Mi Band 4. The main condition is that the bracelet must be unlocked (raise your hand or press the touch button).
Step-by-step:
- Swipe your finger up or down the bracelet screen (depending on the model) to open the main menu.
- Find the Alarm clock icon (usually a bell or a clock with hands) on the Mi Band 7/8, it can be in the More section.
- Select the alarm clock you want to turn off and hold your finger on it for 2-3 seconds, and a menu will appear with the option to Delete or Disable.
- Confirm the action by clicking on the tick or swipe to the right.
β οΈ Attention: On the Mi Band 3/4 The menu interface may not be available, in which case the alarm clock can only be turned off via the app, and also note that after resetting the bracelet settings (Settings for the bracelet) β All alarm clocks will be restored - they will have to be turned off again.
βοΈ Check before turning off the alarm clock on the bracelet
If the alarm continues to go off after the shutdown, try restarting the bracelet.
- Open the Settings menu on the bracelet.
- Find the Reset or Turn off item.
- Confirm the action and wait for the re-energization (usually takes 10-20 seconds).
3. Removing Smart Alarm on Mi Band 6/7/8
Starting with the Mi Band 6, Xiaomi added a Smart Alarm feature that analyzes sleep phases and determines the optimal time to wake up at a given interval. For example, if you set your alarm at 7:00, the bracelet can wake you up at 6:45 if it detects you are in a light sleep phase, a feature that is set apart from normal alarm clocks and often causes unexpected vibrations.
To turn off Smart Alarm:
- Open the Mi Fitness app and go to the section of your bracelet.
- Choose Son. β Smart alarm clock.
- Turn off the slider Turn on the smart alarm clock.
- If there are active smart alarm clocks, remove them by clicking on the basket icon next to the time.
β οΈ Warning: Smart alarms can conflict with normal alarms. If you have turned off the standard alarm clock, but the bracelet still vibrates at a specified time, check the Smart Alarm settings. Also keep in mind that this feature requires sleep tracking to be enabled β if it is turned off, smart alarms wonβt work.

4.Switch off vibration for all notifications (including alarm clocks)
If the alarm continues to vibrate even after the shutdown, the problem may lie in the global vibration settings. On Xiaomi bracelets, you can completely turn off the vibration response, but this will also block notifications of calls, messages and targeted reminders. This method is suitable if you temporarily want to get rid of all vibrations, for example, at an important event.
How to turn off the vibration completely:
- π± Through the app: Open Mi Fitness and go to bracelet settings. Select Notifications β Vibration. Turn off Vibration slider when notified.

- Open the Settings menu.
- Find the item Vibration or Sound and Vibration.

- π Quick battery discharge bracelet.
- π« Loss of warranty (if the firmware has been changed).
- π Conflicts with official Xiaomi software.
