Don't panic - it can be brought back!
Losing the Xiaomi Mi Band is easier than it looks: itβs small, lightweight, and often flies off your hand during workouts, sleep, or even a normal walk. But even if you notice it missing after a few hours (or days), the odds of finding the device remain high. In this article, 7 proven methods to track the Mi Band of any model, from the old Mi Band 2/3 to the new Mi Band 7/8.
The rule is, move fast. The less time has passed since the loss, the more likely it is that the bracelet has not yet discharged, left with debris or fallen into the wrong hands. We will analyze how to search through the official application, the beep, the geolocation history, and also what to do if the bracelet is turned off or discharged.
If you're reading this article on your phone, check right away if your Mi Band is connected to it via Bluetooth. It may just be disconnected and lying around somewhere!
1. Search through the Mi Fitness (or Zepp Life) app
The official app for Xiaomi Mi Band is your first assistant, and since 2023 Mi Fit has been renamed Mi Fitness, and for new models (Mi Band 7/8), Zepp Life is used.
To find the bracelet:
- π± Open the app and make sure itβs connected to your Xiaomi account (the same as the bracelet).
- π Go to the Profile section β My devices. β [Your Mi Band].
- π Click Find Device (or Find Device in English version).
- π΅ The bracelet will begin to vibrate and make sound (if it is turned on and in the range of Bluetooth).
Important: the function only works if the bracelet is on, not discharged and is within a radius of ~10 meters from the phone. If there is no sound, check if the Do Not Disturb mode on the bracelet is turned off (it jams all signals).

If the bracelet doesnβt respond to search through the app, try restarting Bluetooth on your phone or reconnecting the device manually.
2. Check the latest location in Mi Fitness
If the bracelet is lost outside the home and the location tracking function has been turned on, you can see its latest coordinates.
- Open Mi Fitness and go to Profile β My Devices β [Your Mi Band].
- Find the latest synchronization or data history section.
- If the bracelet has previously synced with the phoneβs GPS (like while jogging), youβll see a dot on the map.
Limitations of the method:
- β It only works if the Mi Band was connected to the phone at the time of the loss.
- β Coordinates are updated only when synchronization is active (not real-time!).
- β For the Mi Band. 2/3 Location history may not be available.

- In Mi Fitness, click Find the device.
- The bracelet will start to squeak and vibrate for 1-2 minutes.
- Listen: the sound is like short horns (like a timer).
Tip: Close all the windows and doors in the room, the sound is heard better in silence, and if the bracelet is lying under the couch or in the bag, vibration will also help to detect it.
