TalkBack on Xiaomi: How to turn off blind mode

On Xiaomi smartphones, this feature is deeply integrated into the shell, making it possible to launch it even without logging into the deep settings menus.

A frequent cause of activation is the "Fast Settings" function through volume. If the special options menu activates the corresponding switch, then prolonged (about 5 seconds) pressing of both volume buttons on the switched off or locked screen triggers voice acting, users often doing this by accident when they take the phone out of their pocket or adjust the sound in the case.

Go to i.mi.com from any device, log in with the same Mi Account as on a locked phone, select Find Device, and search the Sound option in the control menu. Turn on the audio to maximum.

While the loud signal is playing, press the volume button on the phone itself quickly, and a volume slider will appear that will override the TalkBack interface, at which point the touchscreen often begins to respond to normal single taps.
