If you're watching a movie where the subtitles are already embedded in the video stream, you can't make them visible or invisible -- they're part of the picture. If you have a separate file with the.srt,.ass or.sub extension, you need to put it in the same folder where the video file is located, and it is advisable to give them the same name.
