The problem lies in the aggressive energy saving policies of the MIUI shell or the new HyperOS. By default, manufacturers set a short interval — often as little as 15 or 30 seconds. Fortunately, Android provides flexible tools to change this setting, allowing you to adapt the behavior of the gadget to your personal habits.

Standard timeout settings in MIUI and HyperOS
The first and most obvious step is to check the basic parameters of the system. In most cases, the standard functionality is quite enough for comfortable use. To find the right option, you need to follow the path: Settings → Screen and brightness → Sleeping Mode. This is where the slider or time slot list is located.
Usually, the system offers a choice of fixed values: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc. Up to 10 minutes. The choice of a value "Never" or "No Limits" may not be available on all models, since this directly affects the battery life. If you choose the maximum value, but the screen still goes out ahead of time, other system restrictions may interfere.
