An alarm clock on Xiaomi can be a real lifeline for those who value punctuality, but what to do when it is no longer needed? Excessive morning signals or randomly created reminders distract, drain the battery and take up space in the system. In this article, we will examine all possible ways to remove alarm clocks, from standard MIUI settings to hidden features for Mi Band smartwatches and fitness bracelets.
It's important to understand that the process varies depending on the device model and the firmware version. For example, on smartphones with MIUI 14/15, the alarm menu interface has changed, and on POCO or Redmi there may be nuances. We took all these features into account and prepared universal instructions that will help even if you have never set alarm clocks on Xiaomi before.
If you encounter a problem when the alarm clock does not go away or reappears after a reboot, there is a section on how to solve these bugs, and we will also explain how to completely reset all reminders if too many have accumulated, and give tips on how to optimize the standard Watch application.
1. Removal of alarm clock through the standard app "Clock"
The most obvious and quick way is to use the built-in Watch app, which is on all Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones. This method works on all versions of MIUI from 12 to 15, but may vary slightly visually.
To remove the alarm clock:
- Open the Clock app (icon with dial).
- Go to the Alarm tab (usually at the bottom of the screen).
- Find the alarm clock you want to remove and hold your finger on it for 2-3 seconds.
- In the menu that appears, select Remove (basket icon).
- Confirm the action if necessary.
If you have MIUI 14/15, the interface may be a little different: instead of holding, swipe the alarm to the left (as in the email client), and an delete button appears. On some POCO models, you need to click three dots next to the alarm clock and select Delete.
βοΈ Pre-deletion check
Important: If the alarm is not removed by swipe, try turning it off first (slider to off position) and then try again. Sometimes the system blocks the removal of active signals.
2.How to remove the alarm clock on the Mi Band or Watch smartwatch
Xiaomi smartwatches and fitness bracelets (such as Mi Band 7/8, Xiaomi Watch S3 or Redmi Watch 3) synchronize alarm clocks with a smartphone, but have their own control, and you can remove them either through the Mi Fitness (Zepp Life) app or directly from the device.
Method 1: Mi Fitness (Zepp Life)
- Open Mi Fitness on your smartphone.
- Select your device at the top of the screen.
- Go to the Alarms or Reminders section.
- Find an unnecessary alarm clock and press it.
- Select Remove (Basket icon).
Method 2: Directly from the clock:
- π On the Mi Band. 7/8: Run up the screen. β More. β Alarm clocks β Hold the alarm. β Delete.
- β On the Xiaomi Watch S3: press the menu button β Tools β Alarm clock β select and delete.
- β οΈ On Redmi Watch. 2/3: The path may be different β check in the settings β Alarm clocks.
π‘
If the alarm clock has disappeared from the clock, but remained in the Mi Fitness application, sync the data manually: go to the device profile β three points β Sync.
Note that if you only delete your alarm on your watch, it can stay on your smartphone and vice versa. Check both devices for complete removal. Some models (such as the Mi Band 6 and older) do not support removal directly from the wristband - only through the app.
3. Mass removal of all alarm clocks (setting reset)
If you have too many alarm clocks, or you want to start with a clean slate, you can reset all the reminders at once, which is useful, for example, after you buy a used phone or when you prepare the device for sale.
Method 1: Through the settings of the βClockβ application
- Open the clock. β alarm-box.
- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings β Reset alarm clocks.
- Confirm the action.
Method 2: Resetting system settings (radical method)
- π± Go to Settings. β The phone. β Resetting settings.
- π Select Reset All Settings (not to be confused with Delete All Data!).
- β οΈ This method will remove all personal settings, including alarm clocks, but will not affect files and applications.
What if the reset didn't help?
Warning: Resetting all alarm clocks permanently removes the history of signals and repeating patterns, and if you used unique tunes or special settings (such as gradually increasing the volume), they will have to be re-tuned.
4. Removing the alarm clock through Mi Account (cloud)
All alarms on Xiaomi devices can sync to the Mi Account cloud, which is convenient if you change your phone, but creates problems when signals are recovered after a reset or appear on new devices, to remove them from the cloud:
- Open the Settings. β Mi Account.
- Go to the Cloud. β Synchronization.
- Find the clock and alarm clock and turn off sync.
- Remove alarm clocks in the standard way (see section 1).
- Turn on the sync back if necessary.
If alarm clocks come back, try removing them via the Mi Account web version:
- Go to account.xiaomi.com.
- Sign in and go to the Devices.
- Select your smartphone or watch β Data Management β Alarm clocks.
- Remove unnecessary signals and save the changes.
Important: after removing from the cloud, wait 5-10 minutes - the data is not synchronized instantly. If the alarm goes missing from the phone but remains on the clock (or vice versa), perform forced synchronization in Mi Fitness.
5. Problem Solving: The alarm clock is not removed or appears again
Sometimes users find that the alarm clock is not removed in the standard way or returns after a reboot.
| Problem. | Possible cause | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| The alarm clock is removed, but appears again. | Synchronization with Mi Account | Turn off the alarm clock sync in the cloud (see section 4) |
| The Remove button is inactive | System alarm (for example, for updates) | Turn it off (slider to off position) or reset the settings |
| The alarm clock is removed, but the bell continues. | Cache error of the watch app | Clear the cache: Settings β Apps β Watch β Clear the cache |
| The alarm clock on the Mi Band is not removed. | Failure to sync with the phone | Reconnect the clock to your phone via Bluetooth |
If none of these methods worked, try removing the updates to the Watch app:
- Go to Settings β Applications β All Apps β Watch.
- Press three points. β Remove updates.
- Reboot the phone and re-delete the alarm clock.
π‘
If the alarm is linked to a third-party app (like Google Clock or Sleep as Android), delete it through that appβs settings, not through the standard Watch.
6. Alternative methods: ADB and third-party utilities
For advanced users who want to fully control alarm clocks at the system level, there are deeper methods: They require technical knowledge, but they can remove even those signals that are not visible in the standard interface.
Method 1: ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
If the alarm is stuck in the system and is not deleted, you can use the ADB command:
adb shell content delete --uri content://com.android.alarmclock/alarm --where "hour=? AND minutes=?"Where the hour and minutes are the alarm clock time in a 24-hour format, for example, for the alarm clock at 7:30, the command will be:
adb shell content delete --uri content://com.android.alarmclock/alarm --where "hour=7 AND minutes=30"Method 2: Third-party applications
- π§ Alarm Manager β All alarms, including system alarms, can be managed.
- π οΈ MacroDroid β can automatically turn off or remove alarm clocks on schedule.
- β οΈ Titanium Backup (requires root) β deletes the data from the Watch app completely.
π‘
Before using ADB or root applications, back up your data. Incorrect commands can cause the system to crash.
Warning: ADB and root methods are not recommended for novice users; they can disrupt the system if they are not done correctly, only use them if the standard methods do not work and you understand the risks.
7. Optimization of alarm clocks on Xiaomi
To avoid future alarm clock problems, follow these tips:
- π Check the alarm list regularly and remove unnecessary alarms β they drain the battery even if they are offline.
- π Turn off alarm clock sync with Mi Account if you donβt use multiple devices.
- π± Set up alarm clocks through a single app (e.g., standard Watches only or Google Clock only) to avoid duplication.
- π If the alarm doesnβt work, check your settings. β Annexes β The clock β Battery and turn off optimization.
It's also useful to know:
- On Xiaomi, alarms are triggered even if the phone is turned off (provided the battery is not completely discharged).
- For important signals, use the Repeat function (e.g. every 5 minutes) to keep you awake.
- If you travel frequently, set your alarm in Auto-Discovery Time Zone (in alarm settings).

On devices with MIUI 15, a Smart Alarms feature has appeared that analyzes the phases of sleep. To turn it off, go to the Watch β Alarm β Settings β Smart Alarm.
