How to remove notes from the screen Xiaomi: a complete guide for all models

Notes on the screen of Xiaomi smartphone are a useful feature for quick reminders, but sometimes they turn into real chaos. Note widgets, stickers from Mi Notes or randomly created notes on the lock screen can interfere, take up space and even slow down the system, especially annoying when after updating MIUI old notes suddenly return or duplicate.

In this article, we’ll look at all the possible ways to delete notes, from standard methods through settings to hidden features and reset widgets. Instructions are relevant for Xiaomi Redmi Note 10/11/12/13, POCO F/X/M, Mi 11/12/13 and other devices on MIUI 12-15. 1. Delete notes through the standard MIUI menu

The easiest way to get rid of unnecessary notes is to use built-in MIUI tools, which works for Mi Notes widgets, desktop stickers, and lock screen notes.

Open the screen where the note is displayed. If it's a desktop, make a long press on the note widget. At the top of the screen, a Remove button will appear -- drag the widget there.

2. Clean up the cache and data of the Mi Notes application

Sometimes notes continue to be displayed even after being deleted due to a malfunction of the Mi Notes app (or Notes in Russian firmware), in which case the application’s data reset will help:

1. Go to Settings → Applications → Application Management.
2. Find Mi Notes (or Notes) in the list and tap it.

After cleaning the data, the note widgets will disappear from the screen, but they can be added again through the widget menu (Long Click on the desktop → Widgets → Mi Notes).

3. Removal via ADB (for power users)

If notes are “entered” into the system and are not deleted by standard methods, disabling widgets through ADB will help. This method requires connecting the phone to a computer and basic command line knowledge.

First, turn on USB debugging:

1. Go to Settings. → The phone.
2. Tap 7 times on the MIUI version to activate Developer Mode.
3. Back to Settings → Additionally. → For developers.
4. Activate Debugging on USB.

Now connect your phone to your PC and execute the following commands in the terminal (cmd or PowerShell):

adb shell


pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.notes

This command will completely remove the Mi Notes app for the current user, including all notes and widgets. To return the app, just reinstall it through the Mi App Store.

4. Resetting desktop widgets

If the notes are displayed as desktop widgets and are not removed in the standard way, you can reset the launcher settings, which will return the desktop to its factory appearance, but will not affect the applications and data.

Follow the following steps:

1. Go to Settings → Applications → Application Management.
2. Find the MIUI Launcher (or MIUI Launcher) and open its settings.
3. Select Warehouse. → Clear the data.
4. Confirm the action and wait for the launcher to restart.
