How to remove the stripe at the bottom of the screen on Xiaomi smartphones: reasons and solutions

Why does the bar appear at the bottom of the screen and what does it mean?

The stripe at the bottom of the screen on Xiaomi smartphones is a common problem faced by users of devices based on MIUI and pure Android.
