How to remove voice recording of a call on Xiaomi

When a Xiaomi smartphone suddenly starts to voice-over every touch of the screen or say the name of the caller, users are often taken by surprise: it is not a system failure or a virus, but an activated feature designed to help people with visual impairments. However, for the average user, it turns the control of the device into a real quest, making it impossible to quickly perform simple actions.

In most cases, voice-over is enabled by randomly pressing keyboards or through the quick settings menu. Check the availability settings within the specific application causing the problems.

In Chrome or MI Browser, check to see if you have an article-reading feature on your browser. On social networks like Telegram or WhatsApp, make sure that you don't activate autoplay voice messages into the speaker without your knowledge, often by simply updating the app to the latest version.

If the problem is only stored in one app, try clearing its cache. Go to Settings → Apps → All apps, find the problem app, select Memory and click Clear Cache.This won't delete your data, but will reset temporary files that may have caused the crash.
