Xiaomi Poco X3 is one of the most popular mid-range smartphones, but even its owners do not always know all the ways to create screenshots. In this article, we will analyze not only the standard methods (buttons and gestures), but also little-known tricks: from scrolling screenshots to voice commands, and also tell you how to quickly edit and share screens without unnecessary applications.
If you've just moved from an iPhone or other Android device, MIUI might seem unusual. For example, there's no traditional Power + Volume Down combination, but it uses a different logic instead. But don't worry, after reading this article, you'll be taking screenshots on a Poco X3 faster than any other smartphone.
1. Standard method: power and volume buttons
The most reliable method, which works on all versions of MIUI (including Poco X3 NFC and Poco X3 Pro), is suitable even if gestures are disabled or the touch screen is not responding.
To take a screenshot:
- Open the screen you want (for example, correspondence in Telegram or a page in Chrome).
- Press the power button (right) and the volume button (left) at the same time.
- Hold for 1-2 seconds until you hear the shutter sound and see the save animation.
β οΈ Warning: If you have a magnetic lock case installed, the power button may be blocked, in which case, try removing the case or using alternative methods.
- β It works always, even when the interface is stuck.
- β Requires two hands (uncomfortable for large screens)
- π§ On some firmware, you can reassign the combination to Settings β Additionally. β Buttons
2. Three-toed gesture (the fastest method)
A MIUI signature chip that saves time: just swipe three fingers across the screen from top to bottom. This is the default option on the Poco X3, but if it doesn't work, check the settings.
How to set up:
- Go to Settings β Additional β gestures buttons.
- Select a screenshot with three fingers.
- Activate the switch and test the gesture on the home screen.
π‘ Useful tip: If the gesture works by accident (for example, in games), reduce sensitivity in the same settings or turn off the function.
| Parameter | Value for Poco X3 |
|---|---|
| Minimum distance for gesture | 3-5 cm (adjusted) |
| Support for games | Yes (but may conflict with game gestures) |
| Working in lockdown? | No (only on unlocked screen) |

Instructions:
- Swipe your finger down to open the notification panel.
- Find the screenshot icon (usually in the front row).
- Slip it on it - the picture will be saved automatically.
β οΈ Attention: Some firmware has an icon hidden to add:

- β It works in most applications
- β Takes up space on the panel (you will have to remove another icon)

How to do this:
- Take a regular screenshot in any way.
- Immediately after the miniature appears at the bottom of the screen, tap it.
- In the editor that opens, select βScrollβ (an icon with two arrows).
- Wait for the automatic scrolling and save the result.
