The Chinese version of the robot vacuum cleaner Xiaomi or sub-brands like Dreame and Roborock often costs 30-40% less than the global modification, but has one significant disadvantage - the interface in characters and binding to servers in Asia, which creates the illusion of an insurmountable language barrier, deterring many potential owners of smart gadgets.
Fortunately, today’s smart home ecosystems are built with the flexibility to allow users to change the language and server region without deep programming knowledge. The process of Russification can range from simply changing the settings in the application to flashing the device through special utilities on the computer. But there's a caveat: if you change region to China, the app interface may be partially or completely Chinese, and to avoid that, experienced users recommend using modified versions of the app or third-party clients like VeSync or Home Assistant, which can aggregate devices from different regions, but first try the standard way to change region.

Make sure your phone is connected to 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz. Some routers combine networks under one name, in which case you need to temporarily split them in the router settings.
Another problem is that the robot writes "Server is busy" or does not receive a region, which may be due to blocking by the provider or temporary problems with Xiaomi servers in China. Try switching the mobile internet on your phone (turning off Wi-Fi) for the time of initial tethering, and then returning Wi-Fi. DNS-Google servers (8.8.8.8) in router settings.
