Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro is one of the most popular smartphones in the budget segment, but many users face intrusive system advertising in MIUI. Banners appear in settings, on the lock screen, in the app menu and even in system notifications. In this article, we will analyze all the current ways to disable advertising – from standard settings to advanced methods using ADB and third-party utilities.
It's important to understand that MIUI ads come in two types: personalized (based on your actions) and system-based (built into firmware), the former can be disabled through privacy settings, and the latter can only be turned off by radical methods, and we'll look at both options, including solutions for users without root rights and those who are ready for deeper customization.
If you have just bought a Poco X3 Pro or upgraded your firmware, we recommend that you try out safe methods first (sections 2–3) and then move on to advanced methods (sections 4–6). All instructions are tested on the latest versions of MIUI 14/15 and are relevant for models with global (Global) and European (EEA) firmware.
1. disable personalized advertising in MIUI settings
The easiest way to reduce the amount of ads is to turn off personalization, which won’t remove all banners, but will significantly reduce their number, especially in the settings menu and on the lock screen.
Go to: Settings → Google → Advertising (or Settings → Additional → Privacy → Advertising Services in some versions of MIUI).

Some MIUI applications (e.g. Security, Themes, Music) have built-in advertising modules that can be manually disabled:
- Security (Security): Open the application → tap the icon ⚙️ top-right → Choose "Settings» → Turn off “Recommendations” and “Show ads».
- Topics (Themes): Launch the app → go to profile (human icon) → Settings → turn off Personalized Recommendations and Advertising Notifications.
- Downloads and Music: In the settings of these apps, look for Advertising or Recommendations and deactivate them.
This method will not remove ads completely, but will make them less intrusive, for example, banners with cleanup suggestions will disappear from Security, and pop-ups with new wallpaper will stop appearing in Topics.

4. Removal of advertising through third-party applications
If previous methods did not help, you can use specialized utilities, such as App Inspector (for analysis of advertising packages) or ADB AppControl (simplified version) ADB-team).
The most popular solution is Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools. Download it from GitHub, plug your phone in and select:

- 🔧 Manage Applications → Find and deactivate: com.miui.systemAdSolution, com.xiaomi.msa.global, com.miui.analytics.
The advantage of this method is a visual interface that makes it easier to work with ADB. After applying the changes, restart the phone.

5. Radical method: firmware custom ROM without advertising
If you're willing to go to extremes, you can install custom firmware based on Android without Xiaomi's branded services. Popular options for the Poco X3 Pro:

6. Alternative methods: blocking advertising at the network level
If you can't turn off system advertising, you can block it at the Internet traffic level.

These methods block ads not only in MIUI, but also in browsers, games and third-party applications, but they won’t remove built-in banners in settings or on the lock screen – they need methods from the previous sections.
