The feature, popularly known as the carousel, is officially called Glance for Mi or Lock Screen Magazine, a service developed by InMobi in collaboration with Xiaomi to personalize the lock screen with news and beautiful images, but in practice it often turns into a source of advertising and distracting notifications.
The main problem is that the service runs at a deep level of the system, it intercepts control of the lock screen, replacing the standard unlock mechanism with its own interface, which can lead to delays when the screen is turned on or random clicks on banner ads in your pocket.
In addition, a constant connection to the Internet to download new images consumes traffic and battery power, which is critical for the budget smartphone Redmi 9C with its battery capacity.

Preparation for changing system settings
Before you start shutting down system services, you should do a few simple things to avoid menu confusion and ensure that the changes are applied correctly, and while the process is safe, care is good.
Make sure your Redmi 9C is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Some settings may require a license status check or sync with your Mi Account. It is also advisable to have a battery charge of at least 30% so that the device does not turn off during the setup process.
